Happy National Australian Shepherd’s Day!!
Who here has one of the smartest wiggle butts in the world?
Many people fawn over this breed for their affectionate ways and love of family life. While others want them for their natural affinity for herding cattle (and small children 😅) and responsiveness to training.
Aussie’s are also used in the film industry! Three well known Aussie’s were Stubby, Shorty, and Queenie Trained by Jay Sisler, they appeared in Disney film “Stub: The best cowdog in the west”.
So when you get home from work today, go see that movie star of yours and give them some love!!
Happy National Labrador Retriever Day!
How would you describe your Lab if someone asked?
Currently ranked as the 2nd most popular dog in the U.S., Labs come in three main colors, yellow, chocolate, and black with the occasional silver as well. They are big puppies at heart and love to play. Swimming is their favorite past time besides eating. Some even enjoy living up to their name by retrieving items requested!
Known for their eagerness to please their human, Labs are often used as working animals. One of the most widely known Labs was Jake, a black Lab who became a national hero after searching for survivors in the aftermath of 9/11.
Helps us celebrate this fabulous breed today!! 👏👏👏
Morning everyone! We have the perfect reason to not go to work today. Just hear us out...
It is National "Cuddle up" Day!!
So, stay in bed and enjoy those morning snuggles with those sweet furry friends!! Cuddling can release oxytocin, a hormone that can reduce pain, stress, and anxiety, and lower blood pressure. It can also communicate trust, commitment, safety, and reassurance. This is for both our pets and ourselves!
Cozy up and share! We want to see your pets' snuggliest moments. 🐾

Rabies Control
Rabies is a viral disease which almost always leads to death, unless treatment is given soon after exposure to the virus. Only mammals can get rabies. Most cases of rabies occurs in skunks, raccoons, bats, coyotes and foxes.
Rabies control encompasses exposure follow-ups for humans and domestic animals through contact investigations, pre and post-exposure treatments, animal confinements and quarantines, laboratory specimen submissions, vaccination clinics for domestic animals, and community education.
An exposure includes: a bite, an open wound exposure, or a mucous membrane exposure. If there is no exposure to you or your pet and you would like help removing the animal, you may call the Watertown Department of Conservation office at 315-785-2239 for a current list of Nuisance Wildlife Control
