Wowww!!! What a night and day grooming appt for little Miss Lucys second appointment.

Keep up the good work at home mom and dad. Lucy was a pleasure and was very comfortable with her second grooming appt. It is very important to work with your puppy at home in regards to getting them comfortable with the grooming process. Playing with their feet,rubbing their ears, cleaning near their eyes etc.

Happy June!!!! Bring on the sunshine and flowers!!!

As we’re getting through the end of the spring cleanups our summer groomings are in full gear!!!

At this time we are NOT accepting ANY NEW clientele. We are booked out right now about 4 weeks and are having some scheduling changes occur. That’s why we always strongly suggest to prebook your pets appts because we cannot guarantee getting your pets groomed at the time that you may want when you call.

We are limited to the amount of pets we take in daily especially the size of the dogs. I know some people may call expecting their dog just to get a simple bath and it should be easy to just “squeeze” them in BUT we only have ONE LARGE tub and ONE SMALL tub . On most days we have 2-3 groomers working daily !!! So we have to book accordingly to make sure the tubs are available at the proper times and NOT to run out of hot water !!!

Skunk Anonymous….

Hi, my name is Champ and i was skunked about 5 days ago…my family was not to pleased that I tired to make a new friend that DID NOT want to be friends with me. They gave me a quick bath to just get off any skunk oil so nothing would irritate my skin. I waited a couple days to go see my groomer..in which she used this AMAZING shampoo that really helped with the odor !! But I know it will still linger for sometime.

I am now 5 days skunk free!

Tis the season for all the winter birds coming out for their spring cleanups!!

Currently we are NOT accepting any NEW large breed dogs due to the fact that our appt time slots are limited. New small breed dogs are also limited in booking appts.

We are about 4 weeks booked out. If you are not pre booking your pets appt after leaving you may be placed on a waiting list depending on availability.

If we have not seen your pet in 4 months or more you will be placed on a waiting list for the next available appt.

We wish we could keep booking up appts but we simply cannot and need to focus on our current clientele and policy. Now let’s hope we get some warm weather and sun soon !!!

I know that everyone has a right to their own opinion and you may not make everyone happy or your work may not be what the person is looking for. I get that. But when it comes to “reviews “ of small businesses is when it becomes personal. Like I said everyone has a right to their own opinion. I understand that.

But when the review is a lie is when you cross the line. I do not like making things public but unfortunately this one is personal for me.

I had a new customer come in with a yorkie. When they came for their appt they brought all paperwork in which the rabies vaccine had expired last November. Unfortunately not knowing the pet and by law I could not handle this dog. We said it needed to be up to date and then we can groom him. They went and got vaccine up to date and I got the dog back in two days later. Upon taking the dog it was severely matted from head to toe and I made the owner aware of that when taking in the dog. Grooming a pet with severe matting can be very painful due to the hair is so impacted against the skin. It was an Intact male yorkie that was over a year old. It was not cooperative for the shaving process due to the fact that it was probably uncomfortable and come to find out the dog hadn’t been groomed in over a year. So it was not the dogs fault. Unfortunately when we made it to the neck/head area the dog was jumping up and down and not cooperating. Unfortunately we couldn’t risk the pet or ourselves getting hurt when it comes to a pet that’s uncomfortable and not cooperating with tools such as scissors and electrical clippers. I unfortunately had to tell the owner we could not finish.

We were able to shave the whole body and be rid of the matting and cut the overgrown nails. We could not finish the neck/head area. I told the owner that I was willing to work with the pet and get him comfortable. Unfortunately he does not know the process since he was I believe only groomed twice professionally. And I said give me a call in about 3-4 weeks so we can set something else up to try to finish and get him acclimated. And then I get a one star review. Shame on you. If you brought your pet to petsmart they would have made you come back in 10 minutes or maybe abother groomer could have gotten the job done but risk the pet of getting an injury or it biting someone.

Ranting done now because I could still keep going.

Happy 2024!!! Wow!! Another year has passed. There’s always so much I can say when I do these posts to express the appreciation, the love and thanks to all of our clientele. It hasn’t been an easy last couple years but we still trucked through all the ups and downs.

2024 is going to be an amazing year as we go into it being our 10th Year Anniversary. We look forward to celebrating this year with all of you that have been by our side !!

Lucy and Levi are dreaming of being in winter wonderland!!! They don’t want anymore rain!

We hope that everyone had an amazing Christmas!! We will be wrapping up this last week being in the shop today,Thursday and Friday and will be closed starting this Saturday the 30th and be back in the shop on Wednesday January 3rd.

The moment you realize it’s December 1st!!! Wait what??????

Man we wish there was more time in between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Well we are gearing up for holiday number two. If you haven’t pre booked your pets appt for December you will be placed on a waiting list or you may book your pets appt for January. From now on if you are not prebooking your pets appt you will be expected to wait 2-3 weeks for the next available appt.

We will be announcing a new policy for 2024. So stay tuned !!! We will be doing our best this month to accommodate to you and your pets and getting them done in a timely manner. So please be patient with us as we strive to follow our current policy guidelines in making it a safe and stress free environment. Please allow 1-2 business days for a call back. If you haven’t heard back from us after the two day mark you may give a call back. Sometimes messages get lost.

Bella has a couple announcements she would like to share!!

1. It’s never to early to book you holiday appts for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The week of Thanksgiving is just about all booked up !! So please call now if you want your pets feeling fresh for the holidays.

2. We still have been having problems in booking new clients and they end up being a no call no show. We understand that you want your pet groomed sooner rather than later but please if you find a sooner appointment with another groomer just call to cancel your appointment. We won’t be hurt if you choose to go somewhere else. We will be hurt if you don’t cancel the appointment because then we are lost on filling a slot and lost without pay for that time slot. We do not want to have to start taking deposits for booking appts.

3. Every dog isn’t necessarily charged the same. You may have the same breed or same size dog as another but the prices may not be the same. We charge on yes size and breed but specifically on what type of cut the dog gets, their temperament and when was the last time they were groomed. Do not compare prices to others. Also we are a SMALL business. We are not a petsmart or petco. We have rent,utilities,supplies and insurance to pay for the business along with personal life bills.

As a dog groomer we not only just groom your dogs but we also strive in education in the pet world. A dogs behavior reflects on their owners (sometimes).
Your puppy is a full time job. This is the time for you to put in the proper time and work into them in order for them to have a good life being an adult. Ha I know sounds funny. But it’s true.
It’s not fun for a pet to go to the groomers or vet and they are absolutely terrified because they are complete homebodies and don’t get out. Or your dog is terrible to get their nails cut because there was no work done with them at home as far as getting them used to the handling process of their feet,face,ears etc.
This is a great read for any new puppy owners and very knowledgeable for any pet parent. Put the time into your pet. They deserve it.
