We’re looking for a foster for Jackson.

This is a possible hospice situation as we are waiting for his biopsy date, then his results.

He’ll need someone that is able to give him the attention he needs. Jackson is not able to walk on his own and needs to be assisted with his help walk me harness, in order to go to the bathroom. He enjoys lounging on his dog beds, fluffy blankets and cuddling his stuffies. He enjoys time outdoors he just needs to be monitored well. He is a very sweet, lovable boy. He is able to go to a foster with other dogs and cats, as long as they are calm and won’t step all over him. He’s fine to be left inside at home if you have a busy schedule and cannot be home 24/7. He’ll need to be returned for his appointments.

UPDATE ON JACKSON ❤️

We posted a little over a week ago an update on our beloved Jackson, we want to keep our community in the loop so here’s another update!

In a final effort to attempt to save Jackson, we have opted to move forward with a bone biopsy to try and get some answers for this sweet boy and see if there’s a possibility of treatment for him. If the results from the biopsy are poor or give us no more information, Jackson’s outcome will have to be humane euthanasia. We understand this is a possibility, but still want to give this very deserving boy every chance we can before that decision is made.

The estimated to be $3,515.18. We’re asking our community for help with Jackson’s expenses. We want everyone to know we’re trying to give him the best chance possible before making that call. Thank you to everyone who’s shared Jackson’s posts, reached out and asked about him, and have kept him in your thoughts. Please continue to do so 🤞🏼❤️🐾

We are always in need of several items and funds to continue to care for the animals here at HSWA whether it's food, vet visits, medications or supplies. 🐱🐶🐰🐹
We know that the cost of everything has gone up and we are all using our funds more cautiously.
With that said we have over 40,000 followers on here and if each person could donate just $5.00 that would make a huge impact! 🐾❤️

Guys… this boy is literally the BEST! 🥹

This guy is the sweetest, goofiest, most gentle giant EVER!😍

He knows commands, is house trained, loves literally anything that moves, adores food (give him some and he’ll love you forever lol 😂)

This guys good with some dogs, unsure of cats and probably ok with kids (would have to meet)

This girl is energetic, loves people, and very food motivated!

Nadia is 7 years old, knows commands, is house broken, does best as the only dog in the home (but willing to do meet and greets to see how she does) no cats, and good with kids 10+

Nadia is spayed and all up to date with her vaccines, flea/tick, heartworm prevention, wormer, 4DX testing, and she is microchipped!

Mr. Sam is taking a break from his laundry management and biscuit-making duties to ask the community for help! 🐱🎉

Our shelter is in need of laundry detergent! With animal intakes on the rise, our laundry machines are running non-stop. Keeping our animals healthy and comfortable is a top priority, and having clean bedding is a big part of that. 🫧

If you’re able to donate a bottle or two of laundry detergent, it would make a huge difference for us and the animals we care for. Every bit helps! We wouldn’t be able to continue what we do without you! ❤️

Happy Friday!✨

As the weather gets colder, our animals are in need of a little extra comfort. We are reaching out to the community for blanket donations to help keep our dogs, cats, and other animals cozy during these chilly months! We are running very low! 🍂

Soft, gently-used blankets (or even new ones) would make a world of difference for our furry friends as they wait for their forever home! We can use blankets of any size or shape! 🐾

Good morning everyone!! Such a gorgeous day! We think today would be a great day to meet some of our available cats (and dogs of course)! While you're at HSWA please take the time to meet Buff! He's a big beautiful boy who is ready to go to his furever home. He's 4 1/2 years old and does need to be the only pet. Kids are fine as long as they're a little older and can understand his boundaries. He can get a little overstimulated but would do perfect in a nice calm environment. He's like alot of cats. Likes to be the king of the house. Haha! He's very cuddly, loves sunbathing, climbing up to high places for naps and of course treats!! He's a favorite here at the humane society and we are very dedicated to finding him the purrrfect home!! HSWA is open 12 to 4:30 today! 🌤😻🐾💙💕

I am FIV positive (feline immunodeficiency virus) so I do need someone that understands FIV and my needs. FIV+ and FIV- cats can live together as long as they stay indoors and interact peacefully. I enjoy long naps in the sun, bird watching, eating treats and tons of snuggles. I get along great with everybody! Come meet me and see for yourself! Maximillion Dog Training PUPDATE! Kai (featured below) came to us in late October. He was described as “Won’t listen, high energy and needs a lot of training.” Of course this sweet Hound Mix of a boy is only a year old and training is necessary for pups, but we questioned just how receptive he may be to it… 🤔 Zach, from Maximillion Dog Training, only recently started working with Kai. With only a few sessions, he was able to get Kai to focus and respond to touch and commands the majority of the time! See below! 🐾 It’s been wildly helpful to get to work with Maximillion Dog Training, we appreciate the time and effort put into our shelter and dogs, and we’re always happy to pass off any training that has been started with future adopters! 🐕 Maximillion Dog Training offers Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Obedience Training, and much more!
