Just got my new digatherm thermal imaging camera! This picture is a mid aged navicular gelding that pulled his left front shoe. You can see how inflamed his foot is with out his shoe.

Not to often do I have to make a bar shoe at the horse, but this week we I had two. First pic the horse had a heel bulb abscess and this was the the best option to keep the area from impact but yet keep it draining. The second horse had a old injury from getting wrapped in wire and messed up his hoof growth, but as it got half way down it started Breaking away worse. So we made a bar shoe to stabilize the hoof!
