Our team will still be in clinic so you can still pick up medications, get triage, schedule appointments, etc.

However, our team will be reaching out to reschedule any appointments with Dr. T today.

Although our technicians are wonderful, they cannot provide the care a DVM can - if you have an emergency please contact an emergency clinic. Our front desk team can assist you in finding the closest one.

Hi everyone! We have felt the need to clarify our urgent care guidelines, as we have seen a recent increase in walk in and phone inquiry where we have been referred to as an emergency clinic.

Please consult the guidelines below - for more information, you can check out our website at https://dirigovet.com/pet-urgent-care-waterville-fairfield/ 🐶🐱🐾 We ask that if you are seeking urgent care, that you call the clinic to be triaged by our staff so we can assess your situation and our capability. As we receive upwards of one to two hundred communications daily, we ask that you leave a message if our staff are unavailable while assisting other patients.

As a reminder, abuse of our staff and name calling will not be tolerated. We respect that emotions run high in scary situations, and we are here to help; that said, our staff do not deserve to be treated in a disrespectful and abusive manner.

Today is Feline Leukemia Day. This day is intended to raise awareness of Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), one of the most important infectious diseases of cats worldwide. Affected cats can develop anemia (a low red blood cell level), cancers, and/or suppression of the immune system.

Widespread testing and vaccination efforts have helped to reduce the prevalence of the disease over the past 30 years, and in 2010 approximately 3% of the cats in the United States were infected.

Vaccinations are the key to prevention and are a part of regular wellness care.
