HITCH HIKER FOR KODAK
Miss Kodak was agreed to give this bird a ride around the pool. It gives a whole new meaning to the "Buddy Swim!"
Here is Murphy, with owner, Brooke on graduation day of their Tadpole Class. Murphy really started to get more and more comfortable. Now on to the Frog Class to build more confidence.
This was Gracie Mae's first visit to Soggie Doggie. Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
ROSIE ROCKS IT!
Rosie came for her first appointment the end of April. She is not at all receptive to new people or situations. Phil and Karen were hoping this would be something that she could do to help release energy, build her confidence, and in the same token like swimming. We had to get creative because knowing she couldn't take the pressure of a new person trying to help her. Phil did a super job in the pool, with my guidance, which allowed Rosie to focus. Karen was terrific on the deck in getting her to go down the ramp. For a few weeks she did not have the confidence to venture anywhere in the pool without her guardian right beside her. Two weeks ago Phil stayed along the outside of the pool and Karen was still directing from the deck area. This past Sunday Rosie finally shined. No more barking when she comes in the building, she is wagging her tail and she trusted to come and smell my hand. Patience and a team effort is paying back in a big way. I think the mission has been accomplished. So happy for Rosie, Phil and Karen.
NO FEAR NOW!
Ziva came to Soggie Doggie after having an unexpected experience. The owner contacted me because he wanted her to regain her confidence so they could enjoy the summer swimming season. After 3 lessons she is back on track, her confidence has returned, and she now can safely and happily enjoy swimming.
OLLOE OLLIE IN FREE!
Jason reached out to me to discus that his dog, Ollie loved swimming, but he was disappointment in that he could not get him to accept it in his father's pool. He said I tried everything and it's just not working. Jason also had an added obsticale in that Ollie is blind in one eye (can you guess which one?). For those of you who know, I could relate. With some handling changes and consistent visits, they are now ready for summer fun. Way to go team Ollie!
A TRIBUTE TO BAILEY
Back in December I was contacted by an owner who's dog had just been diagnosed with cancer. She wanted to bring her swimming, as it had always been one of her favorite activities, and not knowing how long Bailey would be able to swim we made sure she had the first available opportunity. Today I received news that Bailey had crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Always saddened by this, as I never want this joy to end. Bailey had two wonderful visits at Soggie Doggie. As my tribute to her I wanted to share her love of swimming. This is how I will remember you Bailey!
COLD HARD CASH!
Cash's owner contacted me in hopes that I could help her dog Cash. She mentioned they had put in a pool at their house over the summer and Cash had never been in water before. He was showing signs of curiosity but anxious about getting in the pool. Her wish was form him to learn how to swim and be confident about in being in the water. I suggested we try the private three coach assisted sessions. This is lesson number 3. What do you think?
ZUZU CASHES IN!
Here is ZuZu enjoying the gift certificate she received from Santa, with a little help from dog grandma! She thinks everyday is Christmas! Yes, Zuzu everyday at Soggie Doggie is like that!
Nevermind..... I will do it myself! Not waiting for anyone to throw the toy, Tucker decides it can be just as much fun hanging on to it! This was hilarious and I'm glad I was able to capture the moment! You are a hoot, Tucker!
BIG SISTER SHOWS HER THE WAY!
After Berkley completed her frog class she wanted to show big sister Piper what she had learned. Here they are in their first swim together. They did very great together. Jen and Louise did a super job throwing the toys at just the right times. I think this the start of a very Soggie relationship! Lets hear it for the girls!
RILEY ROCKS SOGGiE DOGGiE!
Saturday was day 2 for visiting Soggie Doggie for Riley. She is so enthusaistic about her swimming. Most of her experience was in the creek and river but Jennifer knew that she would love the pool just as much. I tend to agree!
Riley is loving Soggie Doggie!
Bravo! Brody showed his braveness by entering the pool himself. Every visit gets better and better. He leaves me special messages when he leaves to tell me how his swim went.
Having a little fun with the GoPro!
BRAVO BRODY!
Brody came to Soggie Doggie with minimal swim experience. He enjoyed getting in the creeks and streams where the body of water was not where he had to actually swim and support himself. Colby opted for the Coach Assisted Swim Package and this is lesson #3. Brody is now comfortable swimming for a toy and knows how to exit the pool. BRAVO BRODY!
Meeka finally decided that this was for her. She trusted her owner and now she is enjoying the pool on her own. She gained the confidence through encouragement and trust. Patience is a virtue when it comes to some of our students and if does pay off in the end. Way to go Meeka so happy to have you aboard the many swimmers at Soggie Doggie!
