Just because this family member is a different species doesn’t mean you need to let confusion and havoc prevail. My training will let you move beyond just saying NO! all the time — it will show you how to provide your dog with information about what’s right. Over the past 18 years, it has been my passion and my pleasure to have worked with 1000’s of dogs and people in Santa Cruz, Monterey and Santa Clara counties. Besides teaching classes and working with people one-on-one, I operate a Boarding School right out of my home in the beautiful Royal Oaks community of Watsonville. Boarding School provides me the opportunity to have a truly intimate connection with many different dogs (because they are living in my home) and has taken my knowledge and skills to a much higher level. Along with this experience, my training has become more insightful, adaptive and more like an art form. I like thinking out of the box, and since no dog or person is exactly the same I’ve learned how to best modify things to help specific individuals. My immersion training technique coupled with field trips speeds learning & retention. Similar to living with a Spanish speaking family vs. taking Spanish lessons once a week, immersion speeds learning and retention because situations are real and repeated frequently. I work with every dog both on and off my property; both on-leash and off-leash. Training in a variety of environments and situations will help your dog become 'fluent' with the verbal cues and hand signals for the best possible results.
