AKC Agility League!
Enrollment Period: December 15 – January 5

Join the fun and challenge yourself in Think Pawsitive’s AKC Agility League! Students will have the opportunity to run official AKC League courses during each round. Courses are designed to test your handling, teamwork, and consistency — all while contributing to national AKC League rankings.

Participants may complete their runs during the designated dates for each round. Runs can be submitted for official AKC scoring and recognition.

🎊New Year’s Pet Safety Tips🎊
1. Keep Pets Indoors During Fireworks🎆
Loud noises can frighten animals and cause them to run away. Keep pets inside in a quiet, secure room with familiar toys and bedding.

2. Create a Calm Environment
Play soft music or turn on the TV to help mask outside noise. Consider using anxiety wraps or calming sprays if needed.

3. Avoid Party Food and Drinks
Many festive foods, including chocolate, grapes, onions, and alcohol, are toxic to pets. Keep all snacks and beverages out of reach.

4. Secure Decorations
Tinsel, confetti, and balloons can be dangerous if chewed or swallowed. Decorate safely and supervise curious pets.

5. Update ID Tags and Microchips
In case a pet escapes, ensure identification tags and microchip information are current for a quick reunion.

6. Provide a Safe Space
Set up a cozy area where pets can retreat if they feel overwhelmed. Include water, a blanket, and their favorite toy.

7. Watch Out for Open Doors
Guests coming and going can create escape opportunities. Use baby gates or keep pets in a separate room during gatherings.

8. Plan Ahead for Midnight
If fireworks are expected, take dogs for a walk earlier in the evening and keep them indoors before midnight celebrations begin.
