Thanks to grant funding, the Waukesha Police Department has launched a new Commercial Motor Vehicle Traffic Unit. This team is made up of dedicated Traffic Specialists and two fully equipped police vehicles focused on traffic enforcement.

With a rise in major traffic accidents involving commercial motor vehicles over the past few years, this unit is committed to promoting safer roadways through proactive enforcement and education.

Together, we’re working towards a safer community!

Great place to take your dog! My dog loves it here. And Jim works with you even on very short notice when a baby is coming. Wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else!

I just used K-9 Country Club for my 11 year-old GSD over the Christmas holiday while I was out of town visiting family. Because it was the first time using the facility, I was a bit nervous - especially with an older dog. Jim suggested that I bring Sophie for a meet and greet before her drop off day. This was an excellent idea. It gave Sophie a chance to explore the setting and to bond with Jim who is absolutely amazing! I messaged Jim while I was away to check in on her and he was quick to respond, which I greatly appreciated. When I greeted Sophie upon my return, she was happy to see me, but it was clear she had already developed a special relationship with Jim. She followed him around like a shadow while I was checking out. Anyone who has a GSD knows that’s a sure sign that a dog has bonded! I will definitely be using K-9 Country Club in the future. Jim clearly understands this breed of dog and especially the fact that she is an older dame! Thank you, Jim!

I have boarded my two German Shepherds several times over the last year for a couple of days and have been very pleased. The dogs love Jim and he understands working line shepherds. This last visit was for 10 days and I was very impressed that Jim even gave them a bath the day of pick up. Will definitely board at K9 in the future.

Jim at K-9 country club has done an excellent job at satisfying the needs of my rescued dog who is reactive and needs special attention. Jim took the time to explain the operation to me and gave me a detailed walk through of his facility . And explained he worked directly with each dog .My hound mix has been bordered with Jim at K9 country club on two separate occasions now and I love the results and hospitality that Jim offers. Where other places have lacked the basic knowledge or care for animals Jim has 30 years experience working with police dogs and training all kinds of behavior issues with dogs which makes me feel very safe leaving my dog in his care. I’ve tried skydance and I will never recommend anyone to go there I’m not sure how they are in business , A bunch of 19 year olds that are glued to there phone while dogs roam unsupervised is not the kind of place for my dog and when I notified them my dog is reactive to other dogs and they continuously disregard my concerns as I mentioned to them a group of dogs is heading toward the lobby where I am with my dog . No one cared. I basically had to do there job for them . So I could only imagine what it’s like when I’m not there . I boarded my dog at sky dance for half a day and my dog came back to me continuously coughing like he was choked . And he just seemed terrified. This is NOT the case with K-9 country club. My dog is in such a good mood when I receive him , The lobby is locked after you enter so no surprise company enters in case your dog is reactive, and Jim did a wonderful job and making my dog feel safe and at home. K-9 country club is the only place I will take my dog to board, for many reason! Thank you Jim and Dawn for everything!

I've been going here for nearly three years. This is the only place that I take my German Shepherd to. Jim is one of the few people that can handle my dog, and that I trust to take care of him. He actually seems to care about the animals he boards, rather than treating them as operational chore.

I’m fairly new to Wisconsin and was absolutely terrified of sending my two GSDs anywhere. I’m so happy I met Jim. He requires a meet and greet for new dogs which I love so that they are somewhat familiar with him and the place when they have to go to stay. My dogs aren’t super keen on playing with other dogs and would rather play ball with a person. This place they actually interact with the dogs and just don’t throw them into a huge doggy mosh pit. You can really tell they care for the dogs and I won’t hesitate to recommend it to others.

Awesome personal service. Wish I could give more than 5 stars. You can tell right away how much Jim & Dawn care for the dogs. I needed to board some young puppies & was a little nervous. Jim put my mind at ease just seeing him with my babies. Highly recommend.

We had a German Shepherd that needed to be kenneled and he was not fixed
K9 kennel was happy to take him as they play with dogs 1:1
Jim and Dawn were understanding they have great knowledge on the breed arranged a grooming before we picked him up
Great care ! Bo will be back to visit!

Jim and Dawn have a compassion for people and dogs. I was diagnosed with cancer on my upper left arm. Jim was flexible with my boarding of Daphnie my Shetland Sheepdog during my surgery to remove a myeloma skin tumor. Jim showed me compassion by taking great care of my "Precious Little Girl." I am a Viet Nam Navy Combat Veteran. I was afforded the opportunity to attend the Wisconsin Stars and Stripes Honor Flight to Washington, DC. I boarded Daphnie at the K-9 Country Club for a weekend of 2022. Daphnie was well taken care of. I have high regards for Jim and Dawn because they have compassion for customers and their "Precious Pet Dogs."

"K9 Country Club is the absolute best kennel we have ever used! We have been using them for 2 dogs over 4 years. Jim and Dawn , the owners, are very caring and knowledgeable about dogs and have even trained dogs for Hollywood films. They keep the dogs separate, and personally interact with them to provide socialization. The place is immaculate. After trying several kennels over the years, we finally have a place we can trust for high quality care. Thank you Jim and Dawn!"
