Zach - South Milwaukee High School; Andres - SRSS/CARE
āIt gives them more COMFORTā¦LOVEā¦into their actual NEW HOMEā¦ā
Words spoken by Zach, a South Milwaukee High School student who decided, with his partner Angelita, that their final project this year was to provide education about rescue dogsā¦specifically SENIOR dogs. While they were working on their project, they discovered that many people overlook senior dogs when looking for a new family member. They decided that it would be nice to create something for some of the dogs to have as their own when they finally find their new forever home. All of the businesses they reached out to for donations were non-responsive, but these wonderful kids were determined. With assistance and donations from their family and friends they were able to create care packages for the next several dogs that go home to their new forever families. Just as Zach and Angelita were determined, rescue dogs are determined. - Determined to live the rest of their lives with a family that will love them, who they can love right back. Just as Zach and Angelita reached out for assistance; rescue dogs reach out for assistance from shelters and rescue organizations to help rehabilitate them and to find their new families. Zach and Angelita went above and beyond what could have been ājust a projectā by creating something filled with LOVE for the rescue dogs that have lots of LOVE to giveā¦Even the Seniors. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the Over-the-Top efforts of these two students. Not only did they create something wonderful to donate to the rescue, but they shared the word and were able to spark the attention of others. We at Seniors Rock! ā Saving the Seniors (CARE ā Center for Animal Rehabilitation and Education) THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. The best of luck to you as you present your final project for the year ā Youāll be GREAT! An āAā Grade in our opinion! Max-2 year old Schnauzer mix
Hi, Iām Max, a two-year-old neutered male Schnauzer mix ready to seek out my forever home! I was once a stray; abandoned to live on the Milwaukee streets with a very messy coat. Because of that Iām shy with new people, but once I open up youāll see a little guy full of love and energy. On walks and runs, I can keep up and am excited to see the neighborhood. I love to play fetch and canāt wait to find someone who will throw my favorite toys. I also like to snooze in a dog bed or by your side. My foster family has worked hard to improve my manners and confidence. I get anxious when left alone but have worked hard at kennel training. Home life suits me well as Iām potty trained and also treat-train well. A family made up of adults or older children would be a great fit. Iām nervous being left alone for long stretches, so a family that is home regularly or would bring me along on car rides is best. I like other dogs that arenāt contentious and currently live with 3 other dogs. My ideal family would walk or run with me daily. Are you looking for someone who loves to play, explore and cuddle? If so, please fill out an adoption application here: http://www.centerforanimalrehab.org/adoption-application-2/
If you are not able to adopt, but know someone who may be looking for an energetic complanion, please Share! Thank you!
Karl - 4 Year Old Chihuahua Mix
Hi! My name is Karl! I have been hearing my foster mom talk about an event tomorrow at State Fair Park called the Great Lakes Pet Expo. It's supposed to be the largest event in the State of WI! Though I am a bit of a shy guy, I am making great strides in my foster home. I think I just might tag along with my foster mom on Saturday so I can meet new people and strut my stuff. Heck! Maybe I will find my forever family. That would make me an incrediby happy little guy! So come early to Quad 4 if you'd like to meet me. Doors open at 9AM for VIPs and 10AM for all other event go-ers. I sure hope you can make it!
