Guided a trial hunt at Wern Valley Sportsman’s Club for a dad and his 2 sons. Shooting started out a little rough but they were able to get past that. Put 15 birds out shot 22 and flushed 30 with 2/30 being no shots due to safety. Gotta love responsible hunters. Bama and Raven did majority of the work but Nala and Murphy got to join in on the fun too.

Scott is grinding away in South Dakota. Yesterday was day 1 with a limit. Good luck and stay safe.

2024 grouse camp in the books. This weekend with friends is always a fun time and an adventure. We put up a good number of birds but now need to work on the shooting. We also had the opportunity to go work our dogs on some chukars at a local game farm. When you lose a gundog, their replacement has some big paws they can never truly fill.

Ragnar will never be Raji. That's just the brass tacks of life.

Until this week, I was having trouble loving Ragnar in the same way. He was trained as a tool for the field, and we had not built a deep connection.

After several days of grinding out 2x a day hunts, our training process was coming together, and WE were operating on all cylinders. I was so proud of my new boy.

Coming back in the duck rig tonight, we looked at each other, and all was at peace. We are bonded by our waterfowl affairs.

His predecessor was pleased from the next life. I love them both equally even though it will always be differently.

Lot of people to thank in the culmination of getting this dog on point.

Chukar challenge at Wern Valley Sportsmen's Club was a blast to kick off the Super Bowl weekend. Thank you to everyone that was apart of it to make it a success.
