Recycle for the Rescues!

The Friends of HAWS have partnered with Alter Metal Recycling - Pewaukee for an ongoing fundraising program! Drop off your scrap directly at Alter Metal Recycling and mention "HAWS66." HAWS will receive a donation based on weight/market rates and funds are matched during the months when HAWS is the highlighted charity!

Accepted items:
-Household items including hangars, chairs, faucets, scissors, tweezers
-Kitchen items such as silverware, baking sheets, pots, pans, utensils
-Yard items like outdoor furniture, grills, yard decor, tools, fencing
-Brass instruments, keys, doorknobs
-Aluminum cans, foil, gutters, siding

Not accepted items:
-Refrigerators, air conditioners
-Rechargeable batteries
-Medical waste
-Containers with flammable liquids
-Items containing mercury
-TVs, computer monitors

"It's been over a year since we adopted our Merlin (grey) and Figgy (black and white) and they fit in PERFECTLY with our three other cats! They play, cuddle, and Figgy runs up and down our cat wall, while Merlin has a love of hugs but a fear of leash snakes 😂 😂 😂 We couldn't be happier with the boys, but darn did they get BIG in comparison to their older brother and sisters...they're twice the size of their older brother, Jack.
