Yesterday, Humane Animal Welfare Society - HAWS of Waukesha and Carroll University said farewell to the six dogs from the Carroll University Dog Training Program this semester. Jade, Faith, Aspen, Kiko, Coco, and Bear all found their furever homes.

On this special graduation and adoption day, the pups received "congrats!" dog cookies courtesy of Petlicious Dog Bakery & Pet Spa and a special goodie bag with Charlee Bear Dog Treats!

On this day, HAWS celebrates our milestones and thanks YOU for making a difference.

Without our community, HAWS would not be able to change and save the thousands of lives we impact every day. We wouldn't be able to assist pets and their people in such a tremendous and positive way.

Today is all about turning an ordinary Tuesday into an extraordinary one for HAWS. Any donation makes a difference for the animals - you don't need to give a lot to do a lot!💚

"Hi there. This is Bailey (formerly known as Tish) who we adopted in March. She was very shy and anxious when we met her. We were so excited to bring her home and give her all the love and patience that she needs. She has come out of her shell and showed us her goofy side. She loves gazing out the window and has claimed the bean bag chair as her throne to stare down the neighborhood squirrels. She has been the greatest addition to our family and we can't wait for many more adventures with her! Thanks HAWS!" - Elizabeth M.

Are you looking for a fun place for your child aged 7-14 to spend some of their upcoming winter break? Have them come spend a day (or more) at our main shelter in Waukesha or our HAWS Schallock Center for Animals in Delafield!

Our winter camp consists of interacting with and helping to care for our animals. Kids will enjoy themed activities both indoors and outdoors (in the snow, if conditions are right!) while learning what animals do during the winter.

Dates: December 23, 26, 27, 30
Time: 9AM-4PM

Calendars are featuring the Waukesha County Sheriff Department employees, including deputies, correctional officers and dispatch. The calendar is also featuring the Waukesha K9 Team, HAWS Alumni, HAWS Education Animals and HAWS Sanctuary Residents.

"I adopted Luna (her name at adoption was Lulu) on June 18th, 2022. Best decision of my life. I opened the door to an abundance of love and sunshine. Words escape me for the love that I have for this kind, loving soul. She was 7 years old and I would adopt an adult cat again in a second.
