UPDATE
Owner called, Sebastian got away from her and they are so relieved he is ok. Thanks all for sharing & for the Good Samaritan who kept him overnight and called us for help,that’s what got him reunited❤️🐾

This sweet guy was found in the middle of a gravel road last night by a kind souls that brought him in this morning. Anybody recognize him please call 563-568-2487. There is no micro chip or collar❤️🐾

We would like to give a huge welcome to Dr. Sarah Balik who will be in clinic on Mondays & Fridays. We are all so excited to have her join our team here at Waukon Veterinary Service! Welcome Dr Sarah!!
I was born and raised on a farm south of Cresco where my parents milked cows and raised hogs. I graduated from vet school from Iowa State in 2015 and have practiced as a mixed-animal veterinarian in Northeast Iowa for the last 8 years.
I live in Clermont with my husband, Michael, and our two dogs, Charles & Chip, and our cat, Ruth. We have an Angel daughter, Iris, who would be 1. In our free time we enjoy traveling, kayaking, and snowmobiling.
I am very excited to be able to help out here in Waukon providing your pets with the care they need!

It can sound scary when your pet is being taken to "the treatment area" so we want to show you what this actually looks like.
🐾Space
Our exam rooms do not allow for the doctor, technicians, and assistants to comfortably treat or obtain samples from your pet in such a small space.
🐾Staff
In the treatment area, extra staff members are around to provide treats, distractions, and proper handling to ensure safety and comfort.
🐾Equipment
Our equipment is set up and ready to go in the treatment area. A lot of equipment is large and unable to be moved.
🐾Comfort
Performing things like a**l gland expressions or bandage changes are best done in the treatment area to prevent the exam room from having a bad odor for the rest of your pet's appointment. Many pets, not all, are more cooperative away from owners because the don't feel the need to protect them.

BEWARE: With the cold weather we are having, pets want to lay on or next to a vent to warm up. Please make sure your pets collars don't get stuck in the vents as this can result in a choking hazard.
