Welcome Home Bailey!
Bailey is energetic, confident, and eager to please. She’s learning loose leash walking, loves verbal praise, and is a natural water dog, happily jumping into lakes and rivers. Bailey has solid puppy manners (sit, down, stay) and impressive recall, responding immediately even in a dog park. She’s adjusting well to her new home, including learning house rules and curbing behaviors like counter surfing. While still working on greeting others calmly and walking on a loose leash, Bailey is a quick learner with a happy, enthusiastic personality.

Winter (10) and Summer (7) are sweet, well-behaved Golden Retrievers in foster care. Both are spayed, good with dogs, cats, and kids, and follow basic commands. Winter is low-energy, while Summer has a medium energy level.

They came into foster care needing medical attention: Winter had dental work, and Summer had a cancerous mass removed from her leg. The surgery was successful with minimal risk of regrowth. Summer will need ongoing health checks.

Both dogs are calm, gentle, and would make great companions for a family. They are easy to care for, affectionate, and would thrive in a loving home.

Rex was adopted on November 15 and is settling into the family's routine. He is a delightful boy and a big snuggler. He shares a home with his canine sister Stella. They play together well and share their toys with each other. His new human mom keeps calling him Hank for some reason. So she started saying, "Rexy Flexy, Hanky Panky," and he will come running! He is an overall joy.

River is thriving in her foster home after spay surgery and routine vet care. She overcame a stubborn ear infection and is now doing great. Quiet but occasionally vocal, River is building confidence and loves her daily walks. She gets along with the resident male dog but prefers to be an only dog and isn’t fond of sharing toys. River would do best in a calm home, ideally with a fenced yard and an active family who can give her plenty of exercise. She has a small prey drive, so no cats, and she’s happiest in a predictable environment without young children. Loyal and affectionate, River is ready to find her forever home!

Our Story

Surrendered dogs are sometimes abandoned, mistreated or neglected, surrendered by a shelter, and sometimes a loving family that can simply no longer care for their golden. Taken in by GRRoW volunteers, every golden is provided with medical care if needed and placed in a foster home. Each dog is carefully evaluated in order to match it with a new family. Even as each dog is placed in a new home, we offer support to smooth the transition.
