Here are a few pictures of skull I finished up this week. The elk was my first ever and turned out awesome in my opinion! Customer was super stoked when he seen it. Kept saying he never seen such a white skull. They he shook my hand and said “you do awesome work”. Always a great feeling. Thanks everyone for your business. Will be posting more pics when the next ones are done.

Also we are STILL taking deer for deboning. But please make sure you get them here soon as you can so the animal does not freeze solid. If you get it home late then keep it in your garage until you can get it here. Thanks for understanding.

We are also still taking heads for European mounts.

Wow what a deer season so far! This group of people made it a great year so far. Our goal was in sight. With our skinners taking the hide off in less than 4 minutes, then to the person taking the meat off the deers body in 11 minutes then to the cutters separating the meat (deboning) and taking the fat off and making sure it’s all clean meat. We were averaging 20 min per deer. Then all meat was weighed and recorded. When we weren’t cutting up deer my team was skinning and prepping the deer skull for European mounts and making pizzas in the pizza oven. We will continue to take deer for deboning unless the deer is frozen. Please call for drop off. Thank you everyone!

Attention Hunters! We are ready for another year of skinning and deboning your deer. Please call ahead to make sure we are able to take yours in. Here are a couple basics that we ask of you the hunters.
1. Make sure all guts are out of the cavity of the deer is clean. We have the right to refuse your deer if not properly gutted.
2. If it stinks don’t bother bringing it here. We have had hunters bring deer here that were shot and didn’t find it for days. No thanks!

We are still taking deer heads for European mounts.

If you are bringing just the head make sure it’s fresh as possible. If the heads are rotten or stink there is an extra charge to take them or plain out refusal to take them.

Other than that everyone have a safe and enjoyable Gun season. Be careful and shoot straight! We can’t wait to see the excitement on your faces and the stories from this years hunt!

Been a busy year so far, trying to get to get European mounts out the door soon as possible. Jennifer has been busy making merch so you’ll have to check it out. Here are a few pictures of Europeans that were completed last week. If you know of anyone that needs a European mount done and they don’t want them boiled then this is the place to go. We use maceration method. That is rotting the skulls in controlled low temperature water until grease free. My number is 920-296-4398.
Yes this year we are offering deboning deer again. Bow season has been a busy time. Thanks everyone for bringing your deer over and sharing your stories. Hope to see you soon. Good luck

Got some good ole Wisconsin sun on these bad boys yesterday. Today they were all picked up. The single one on the plaques was one brought to me this year but it was in the freezer since last year. Customer forgot he had it in there. 😆
The skulls are on a swinging skull rack out son built last year so we can move the rack so the sun is always hitting them in the front.

I think this deer needed a dentist! I never seen anything like this.

Couple nice bucks from the youth hunt. A nice 8 point and a beautiful 19 point. Yes 19. I counted and didn’t include 3 that were just short. They will make great Europeans for sure. I did one for the same person last year and I believe that was a 13 or 14 point. Lucky kid!!

The deer in the black bags were deer we caped for a shoulder mount by a local taxidermist and the other one in the white bag is going to be a European mount from us. All these deer were beauties. The one I am going to do a European has a 19 1/2 inch spread. Each brow has 3 horns and has fairly good mass. Thanks for everyone trusting us in your deboning and European needs. I can’t wait to see what this year brings.

I took on a very first large longhorn skull from a customer as a trial. It was dropped off in March and I just got it finished up today. This measures 66 inches from tip to tip. Person shot this in Missouri on a hunt. After getting the sheaths off I cut the cores down to fit in my tank. Then the sheath cleaning went and after the skull was done to my liking I fit them back on the skull and glued them in place. Other than that the customer wanted it natural looking as he seen it.

First antelope ever done, client said he had faith in me doing them. Hope he like the finished result.

It was a fun weekend of getting a few skulls finished. I did my first lower jaw on a deer, it was my sons and that’s what he wanted. Then I finished up this beautiful 16 pointer on a plaque. That was a heavy deer. I asked the person why he didn’t shoulder mount and he said he’s gotten bigger on the wall. Man I wish I had his land to hunt. Then I finished a few smaller bucks. The best part of the weekend is when the people come over and out there eyes on there deer and say to me, I never seen such a white skull! I did have a customer bring me a skull he just picked up from a person they send them out and it was gray. I asked him how old the mount was and he said he just picked it up before coming over to get the one I did. He thought it was a good mount until he put the one I did next to his other. He then said I will bring all of them here next time. I get it everyone has there own way, beetles, boil, nobody that I know around here does it my way. Maceration! I will be accepting skulls from now until April. If you want one done give me a call now at 920-296-4398. Thanks to everyone for the business.
P.S. actually the best part of my retirement gig is listening to all the stories of the great Deer Hunt. Even the ones that got away!
