I love a good dun. This pair is a really nice pair. Once again, hard to see with the grass & weeds, but she calved a good stout bull calf. This 5 year old 055 Hargis cow has been one of my favorites since I laid eyes on her and I love how well she holds up and retains weight after calving

This small group of heifers show the uniformity we have going on within our younger herd. We have been very selective on females we retain ( which all come from Hargis cows we raise ), and as far as sires, I don’t think we’ve ever had 1 that has stamped out offspring so consistently.

Pastures full of good Native grass in wide open areas, but they’d rather go on an adventure thru the weeds. I wish I would’ve taken a full picture of this one’s Dam so you could get a better idea of the pair, but believe me when I say this is a nice one! The Dam is sired by a Lyssy ( Honey Badger son) bull we have and this polled heifer calf is sired by our heifer bull Pablo

Our spring calf crop is coming on good! I feel like theyve changed drastically between the last time we had them all in the pens to sort to now. It’ll be time to dehorn pretty soon. This style of brindle is always my favorite. I like the ones that are dark and we actually had about 3 this Spring that are like this

Chris would choose the hottest day of the year to wean fall calves… luckily there wasn’t alot to dehorn this time, so the rest of the process went pretty quickly. The kids were a big help while we were gathering and pushing cattle to the pens and we were thankful to have Garret and Carson’s help all day

We’ve been blessed with a pretty wet spring and summer so far. It’s so nice to see the tanks full, the grass still growing, and the cows in good shape.

Since the calf likes to stay hidden and I couldn’t get a good picture of her, you have to take my word for it when I say -this is a beautiful pair. The dam is a daughter we retained out of our Lyssy bull and the sire is out of our polled heifer bull.

This bull calf has already changed quite a bit since the last time I photographed him. I included a picture I took 3 months ago of him and the dam ( which is 1 of my favorite girls). I’m amazed at his color change, but really glad the dam is starting to produce offspring that resembles her

I’ve been a fan of hers since birth. We will be dehorning her and several others next week. Her Dam isnt pictured but she belongs to 1 of our 11 yr old Hargis Cows and is sired by an FMC bull.

This heifer has all the qualities we look for when selecting our replacement females. We are looking forward to her growth to finish out her potential. This is also just a really pretty, solid pair in our younger herd that we’re proud of. Her dam is a young Hargis female and she is sired by our polled bull who we call Pablo
