Texas customers that have County shows the first part of January, it's time to start pushing those pigs. Increase the protein and fat. You want them stout and a fresh flesh look, also working on hair.

Feeding program is 80% of the success in a showpig, and 100% of your unsuccessfull show season. Sad but true, always keep this in mind. Always start with a good prospect, that is part of the battle. Then get a successful feed program.

We have 3 left in the barn with 2 pending pickup this weekend. Pictured is the only one that does not have a guaranteed home. When you study him and look pass the up ears he has for now, he is a good pig. Square, straight, stout, tall fronted, good bone, and short ribbed.

Introduce our fall boar we will be using, we had planned on taking him to the Fall Exposition but we decided we can use him as much as anyone. Semen will be available in a few weeks. Better pictures coming.
