Our very own Michaela adopted her dog, Cloud from the Humane Society of Marathon County! We wanted to highlight their story and all the wonderful work HSMC does for pets to drive home why we are collecting donations for HSMC through Valentine's Day 💕🐾

"When my fiance and I decided we were ready for our first dog together, we knew we wanted to adopt from the Humane Society of Marathon County. When we saw Cloud on their website, we couldn't stop thinking about her! She reminded me so much of my childhood dog, Dolly who my family adopted from HSMC when I was just a kid. We thought about Cloud for weeks and instantly fell in love with her during our first meeting! We began researching pet ownership and started to slowly collect supplies while we anxiously awaited the approval of our adoption application. On March 15th 2024, Cloud became a member of our family and we couldn't be happier! We were so surprised to find Cloud had been sponsored and her adoption fee had already been paid! We like to say she is the best thrift find of our lives. We will never forget that huge smile she had on her face as she bounded down the hallway at HSMC to come home with us, it's like she knew it was her big day! She loves all people and dogs she meets and everyone loves her back. She is so sweet, cuddly, and endlessly playful. She is the best hiking buddy and has accompanied us on countless adventures already! I think it's safe to say that we found our soul dog at HSMC🐾💗"
