Flirt was chosen today! He had to be caged up for his adoption visit so he wouldn't disappear but it doesn't seem to have traumatized him much. He'll go to his new home.in Corning after his pre adoption vet visit!
Kittens say thanks for the vittles! (They are in a two level cage and have more space than what is visible.)
It's feeding time! There are three sets of kittens: two singles and one set of three, and they have to stay separate until they are tested. I'd love for the two singles to get together but that will have to wait until the next payday. Until then, this one is hanging in my den and the other is hanging in a playpen in the other building. Gotta keep potential cooties separate when it comes to these little ones!
I just picked up this handsome but injured tomcat in the village of Spencer on Academy Street. He has a broken leg (apparently it has been broken awhile). I'm told a few weeks ago someone was looking for a cat like this that they had lost? If this is your cat if you could please call or text me at 607-220-9839, even if you feel you can't keep him. It would help me in getting him treated if I either knew he had an owner, or if he were legally surrendered to me. I'll be getting him to a vet as soon as possible. We'll notify Stray Haven.
The little Halloween monster kittens have learned to hop and climb!
The kittens, at about 3.5 weeks, have moved beyond being just furrballs that eat and poop and have moved into PLAY mode now that they've discovered they can run and wrestle. This will only last about 20 minutes before I'll find them asleep in a cuddle, and can move them back into their cage on the heating pad.
