❤ We are Waverly Pet Rescue. All of us. With animal rescue, it is always we. ❤
Think of Waverly Pet Rescue as a forest. Many trees. Many branches. There are always countless connections involved in rescuing. Each is just as important as the other.
The branches connect to the trees, which creates the forest and that makes Waverly Pet Rescue whole.
From the finder of the kitten, cat, puppy, dog that needs help; to the person that fed that stray to keep him/her alive; to the one who scooped them up and took them home; the neighbor who gave extra supplies they had to help; the friend who emailed to ask for help; Waverly Pet Rescue who found a foster and set up and paid for the vet visit; the finder that dropped off the pet at the vet appointment; the vet receptionist who spoke with the finder and took in the animal and comforted them; the vet tech who helped the vet give the animal an exam and food and love; the vet who gave the vaccines, tests, and spayed or neutered the animal; the kind stranger who was at the counter when the pet came in and gave a donation to help pay towards the vet bill; the foster home that welcomed that pet into their home until adopted; the foster homes family; the volunteer who sets up the listings online; the volunteer that posts about the pets on Facebook; the supporters on Facebook who share our posts, comment, and like the posts; those who give donations to help pay the vet bills whether it is a check, Venmo, PayPal, or Facebook fundraiser; people and stores who donate supplies for the pets; a local business that allows donations to be dropped off and stored there; a volunteer that picks up supplies donated each month from an out of town store; anyone that has ever purchased from our Wish Lists on Chewy or Amazon; those who pray, send positive vibes, send hope, wishes, and love to the universe to help all the homeless kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs. And then to the adopters who open their hearts and homes and give the pet a loving inside forever home.
We do this together and what we have created is beautiful. We are always grateful and thankful. Thank you for being part of Waverly Pet Rescue’s forest.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Peace, Love, and Kindness,
Sheri
