*Timmy is a sweetheart and quite friendly
*He is grateful for attention and love
*He loves to follow you around and be where you are
*He tested positive for FIV. Timmy has been around other cats now and did not have any issues with them. With FIV, he can be an only cat, around other cats with FIV, or around any cat. The only way it is passed to another cat is with mating or a very deep bite wound. As long as your cat is not an alpha and wants to dominate Timmy, he should be fine with other cats.
*He still has the behaviors where you need to be careful. He will swipe at you to get your attention or at feeding time. He does not mean to scratch you, it is not aggressive. But it does hurt and can make you bleed. He needs a home with no children at all. As an adult, I can choose to sometimes get scratched by Timmy. But it not fair to do that to a child, no matter what their age.

Name: Leven
Age: 9-1/2-years-old
Came from: Stray from Waterloo, Iowa
Date we took him in: August 2015
Male: Orange tabby.
Coat length: Short.
House-trained: Yes.
Good in a home with: Other cats. Older kind children. We also think if given time and proper introductions, he would be ok with dogs too.
Prefers a home without: Young children.
Declawed: No.
Cat Family: None
Personality: He is still a little shy but warms up after he gets to know you.
Ok as an Only Cat: Yes.
Required: Someone that can give Leven TLC and time to adjust to a new home.
Leven is up to date on shots, neutered, FeLV / FIV negative. $95 adoption fee.

😪Samson was an older stray we took in back in 2019 and he was also adopted in 2019. Rest in peace sweet boy. Tears are flowing. Grateful you lived the best life with the best mom and dad. 😪

"Sadly, on the last day of the year, we had to say goodbye to our excellent cat, Samson, after a brief battle with liver cancer. He was my best friend, my soul cat. He was the sweetest soul I ever knew, a friend to all creatures. I miss him terribly and probably will forever. I was there looking in his eyes when he left us.

I wanted to thank you for rescuing him and allowing us the privilege of having Samson in our lives. He truly made an impact. Please keep doing what you do!

*Very submissive.
*Does well with other cats. No bullies in his adoptive home, only other gentle submissive cats in the home so he does not get picked on.

Female: Black & White.
Coat length: Short.
House-trained: Yes.
Prefers a home without: Children. Other Cats. Dogs.
Declawed: No.
Cat Family: None.
Personality: She is such a sweet and lovable girl once she gets to know you.
Ok as an Only Cat: Yes. And it is required.
Required: A quiet and calm home with a set routine would be best for Sophie. She needs to be adopted into a home with experienced cat owners that can understand and continue to foster an environment where she is loved and accepted.
Sophie is up to date on shots, spayed, FeLV / FIV negative. $95 adoption fee.
