🦃Thanksgiving is right around the corner! We want to remind everyone that human food is NOT safe for dogs!

Around this time of year we see lots of animals sick from eating too much or from being fed food that while might be yummy, is not good for their health.

This Thanksgiving, we encourage pawrents to do right by their pets and only feed approved snacks like plain pumpkin/canned pumpkin purée, boiled turkey with no seasonings, or plain green beans. Definitely no pie! 🥧

Don’t let her sad face fool you - Ziggy is always happy to see us!

👉Ziggy is an English Mastiff - one of the largest dog breeds in the world. Typically weighing between 120-200lbs, these dogs are known for their gentle and loving nature. Ziggy tips the large end, weighing in at 180lbs!

Mastiffs have long existed through history, with evidence of similar dogs dating back to 2,500 BC in Asia! They were originally used to hunt lions! 🦁

🏛️The Romans used mastiffs in combat and for entertainment - Julius Caesar even highlighting their strength during his conquest of Britain.

With their days of conquest and lion-hunting long behind them, present-day mastiffs like Ziggy enjoy lounging around surrounded by their loving families 🫶

Dog boarding rates are based on weight. We also administer medications if need for a small additional fee.

📣 Little Tink isn’t as little anymore, but he’s still looking for his forever home.

Tink is our youngest kitty currently available for adoption. He’s all love - a true sweet-talking gentlemen. He’s currently the only male cat in his foster home, and doesn’t seem to be bothered as long as he gets plenty of snacks and scratches.

At 7 months old, Hennessy is the perfect mix of snuggly and spunky. She loves to play and be the center of attention in her foster home. Her latest favorite form of entertainment: chasing shadows! Maybe she is confused by the resemblance? 👤

🛑 STOP! Before you scroll past Latte just for being a rat, let us tell you how AWESOME rats are!

Rats, despite their reputation, are some of the cleanest pets you can have. Not only do they spend a majority of their time grooming themselves, they can easily be litter trained thanks to how smart they are.

Not only are they clean - rats are extremely social and love to be around people and other rats. Whether that be snuggled up with you on the couch or watching you cook (though we don’t recommend letting them cook for you!) a rat will never complain about your company.

Sweet Latte is a wonderful example of a pet rat - he is sweet, snuggly, and absolutely loved getting head scratches during his appointment. We want to see all of those pet rats in the comments! 🐀

📣 Next kitties on the spotlight: Ellie and Emmie!

These two sweethearts were found together by one of our clients - and we couldn’t say no to helping them. They have grown into the sweetest young ladies.

✨Emmie, the brown tabby, is a huge cuddle bug. Her foster mom says that she is always looking to be in your lap and in your shadow.

💫Ellie, the tuxedo, is not as cuddly but makes up for it with how playful she is. There isn’t a toy that’s safe from her - and she has a blast chasing strings!

Both of these beautiful ladies are spayed and have gotten their vaccines and would love to be adopted together. Even though their foster home has other kitties in it that they get along with, they are always drawn to each other and spend their nights cuddled up together. What’s this? Another puppy? No complaints here! 🙋

❤️ Meet Bandit the Havanese - at 11 weeks old, he weighs less than 5lbs! At full size, he’ll only weigh between 7-13lbs (if he stays true to breed average - there are always special cases!)

🇨🇺 The Havanese is the only dog breed native to Cuba, their name coming from the country’s capital: Havana. They were originally bred as companions for Cuban aristocracy.

🤗 The Havanese is known for being extremely friendly and sociable, thriving on human companionship. They are smart and eager to please which makes them easily trainable and make fantastic family dogs.

We can’t wait to keep watching you grow, Bandit! 🥰

🤏What’s tiny but mighty and has the most fashionable sweater? Luna!

Sweet Luna has been seeing us for her puppy visits and is always a magnet for staff members. Who wouldn’t want to pass around this 3lb bundle of joy?

🇲🇽Chihuahuas originate from Mexico, their ancestry tracing back to an ancient dog breed called the Techichi which was kept by the Toltec civilization during the 9th century. These tiny warriors were believed to help guide souls to the afterlife!

❓Did you know Chihuahuas are the smallest recognized dog breed in the world? The average weight for an adult chihuahua is between 2-6lbs!
