The Stable celebrated our rider on Friday, Jordan Williams as a "Roll Tide" graduate of the University of Alabama. We are so proud of you Jordan.

Our Horse family is in mourning for the earthly loss of our little rider. We are sad for her parents, our horse friends and especially her gymnastics families. Thank you God for loaning such a talented girl to us for a little while. Through this tragedy let us all learn to love each minute you give us. Amen

The Stable family is praying that Hannah and Colin are back in the saddle soon. Both were in a near tragic accident suffering internal injuries and broken bones stemming from a MVA on Smith Road . They were in town from Tennessee to bury their uncle(Barbara 's God mother's brother).Prayers for the entire family.

Alumna Shariah Harris continues to break barriers in the equestrian world, being the first black woman to compete in the U.S. Womens Polo Championship. Her intention was never to carve out a place in history, but simply to engage in a sport she holds dear.

She imparts a powerful message from her experiences: "If you don't see anyone who looks like you, that's okay. It might not feel okay at the time, but it's okay, becuase you never know if you wil be the catalyst."

Their journey began in quiet Holly Hill, SC, at Lucien Laurin's 15-acre Thoroughbred training center. As groom and exercise rider, they worked to bring out the best in Secretariat, Riva Ridge and many others. Their accomplishments were undeniable but unheralded. As our nation pauses to recognize Black History Month, we salute Eddie Sweat and Charlie Davis for their many contributions to horse racing history.
