Mother's Day has become a bitter-sweet holiday for me. My mom passed away four years ago. She was the best, everything you could every want a mom to be, and my best friend. I will continue to celebrate her every year. From my Mother's Day Sale this year, I am able to donate over $400 to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in her honor. This piece was inspired by the beautiful view of the town of Gesso from Villa R, the artist residency I spent time at in Messina, Sicily. I studied the Italian landscape, environment and culture. It was created with collage, acrylic paint and pastels.

My mom's favorite seasons were spring and fall. Both cool, full of color and promise. Daisies will forever remind me of my mom, she loved them.
