We received sad news about one of our pups, Ralphie.

Today has been one of the hardest days I have ever had to go through. Today we all said goodbye to our Sweet Boy Ralphie. Ralphie was surrounded by all of his Humans and his Pack. We all made sure he knew how much he is LOVED as he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We told him to find his Grandpa's until we could be with him again. 2018 was one of the worst years I have ever lived through. We had Great Loss and I was Extremely Sick and Almost died several times. Patrick decided I needed a friend to sit with me after all my surgeries. I knew the first time I seen Ralphie's Picture he was Mine!! (The BESTEST Christmas Gift I have EVER Received) I truly believe he is one of the main reasons I am here today. He always made sure I had a friend with me everywhere I went (he was definitely a Momma's boy who thought he was a 125lbs lap dog). He was the first to come lay with anyone that was sad or didn't feel well. We all returned the favor the last few days as we layed with him to try and make him feel better and comfortable. Ralphie not only gave us his Unconditional Love but he also gave us 9 beautiful puppies with his Bestest Friend Rey. (Rey stayed by his side until the end knowing her Best Friend was Very Sick) Ralphie you might not be by my side any longer but you definitely left a Paw Print on my Heart. When we meet again I promise I will make sure I have a Water Bottle and We Play Hind and Go Seek!! I just Wish I was able to Save You like You Saved Me Buddy. I Love You My Sweet Boy and My Heart Will Never Be the Same! Thank You for All Your Love!!

Howdy everyone! The wonderful Homeplace Bernie Barn has had a great run. Alas...we lost mama Sophie and papa Junior this year. And tomorrow mama Sadie will be spayed as she is 6 years old...almost 7. The end of an era. She and Sophie blessed us and all y'all with beeeeeutiful, sweet, silly puppies. I will miss the baby dolls.
Gary and I travel and take Sadie Joy with us in the RV. She's a fantastic traveler and has friends from coast to coast and border to border.
Bunsen is now with one of our puppy owners. He's living the best life. Why? You ask. Alas.... he didn't fit in the RV. Hee hee.
Hugs to all our families and pups. Keep us updated. We love all y'all.
(Yes...we've become Winter Texans).

This was right on!!!!

To me, and probably only me, this was a pivotal moment in history. A poor boy taking the oath to the second highest position in the land but I don't want to talk about him, I want to talk about her, the woman in the red blouse and black slacks, an outfit you and I would have bought at Belk or Kohls and deemed it dressy apparel. A woman who stood amongst women clad in thousands of dollars worth of designer clothing, representing poor and lower middle class women around the world. The fact that she was her authentic self, the fact that he wanted her there in her authentic self. The fact that the entire world knows all the skeletons in her closet and she still stood proud of her boy, proud of his accomplishments, proud of the family he built and the place in life he made. And most of all I hope that this is a reminder to all the mama's out there who are struggling with addiction and alcoholism that it is NEVER too late to get it together and rebuild bridges you thought you burnt.

A good story that I posted this on our RV Park site.... Keep Reading....
HELP!!! Site 31, S2S. We took our camper and car and dog, Sadie to have our motorhome checked out. Gone 8 a.m. to 3:30. When I returned to our site, it was almost empty. Lawn chairs, a table, 2 bikes, outdoor rug, dog chain and dish were all gone!!!!!
And NO... this is not a joke.
About our big theft. It made no sense as the "thieves" had left an expensive ladder and the VERY expensive tow bars for our car. But they took the dog dish!!!!
Finally....
As Paul Harvey would say. "And now for the rest of the story..."
It's all good... a sweetheart of a neighbor thought we'd had to leave in an emergency, with no time to take our outdoor belongings. So she and a friend moved all our stuff to her place just across the street to keep it safe. Sure enough. All good. When I asked why she didn't move the ladder and tow bars, she said, "Well... they were HEAVY!!! But I took the dog dish because it WAS a really nice dog dish." Remember this is a 55 year old or older RV Park so heavy stuff isn't our thing :-) She helped us bring it all home. What a sweetie.

Breakfast with the siblings. Yes.... we're in Wayland. Flew in on Tuesday and surprised the grandkids and on Wednesday the Wenger family. Oh... and Sunday we went to our church. SURPRISE! A great week to be home.

Sad News for our Homeplace Bernie Barn family...
Thursday was "the end of an age" as Dakota and I took Sophie Joy dog to the vet. She had lost the full use of her back legs in the last couple of weeks, so we had x-rays done. The results were what just what we expected. She had a cancer mass above her heart and a very large one under her stomach, invading her spine. Therefore, we chose to have our 9 year old Matron Mama put to sleep. It was so hard on Dakota and Kelsey, me, and our family as it will be for our Homeplace Bernie Barn family.
She was the BESTEST MAMA to so many pups. Please send in pictures of her babies.

This is my brother Richard yesterday. He is who we have all been praying. Doctors said "no brain activity". God said....Hold On there. JUST WATCH.
He had his feeding tube removed yesterday. He went home a week or so ago. He's been in his garden.
THIS is a MIRACLE!!!!!!
Keep praying my friends.
