Jessica here. I wanted to share a non-dog-related training video, to show how nicely our training methods work with all species.
A week and a half ago we brought home a "wild" American Mustang we named Nevada. He was gathered from, you guessed it, Nevada. Being a wild horse for 6 years, he is learning to trust people and adapt to domesticated life.
He is our first "untouched" Mustang, meaning he has had no human interaction up until now. Many of you may have heard stories about our 4 other Mustangs, which all came with varying degrees of handling prior. We are excited to start one from the ground up.
Here is Nevada, learning "Touch" today. Since many of you are familiar with this with our dogs, I thought you would appreciate it. This is our first step to being able to touch him safely. His reward is 2 fold; handful of alfalfa and relief of pressure (ie, I remove myself)
