Vet appointment went great yesterday and all puppies have been cleared to leave this weekend!

We ONLY have 3 babies left for 2024 🥰

2 yellow girls & 1 black boy

For anyone who got one of Nova's pups, these would be cousins to them 😆 Nova & Delta have the same sire, Duke

Delta's litter is our FINAL litter for 2024

They have their vet checkup on Monday and can start leaving next Friday 16th

There are several yellow girls and 2 black boys available

ALL of Journey and Nova's Puppies have gone to their new homes!!

Not the first time we had 22 puppies born in 1 week but it sure is making having Delta's one litter a breeze 😆

Delta has our final litter for 2024 and we are accepting waitlisters for 2025.

💛Delta is the daughter to Duke & Laneze and a half sister to Nova.

Who is the face behind BCY Labradors? That would be me, Ashley (blue dress)

My parents (pictured in the middle) got me a female yellow lab puppy at 10 years old for my birthday and I have loved labs ever since!

At meet ups its not to unusual for my parents to help deliver puppies around and my sister Kasey is a good excuse to visit over in the Pella direction.

My brothers are currently at ISU and both have internships this summer, so they are also on the books to help with some meetups as they travel around.

No one tells you how hard it is to come up with a professional name and BCY Labradors was made to focus on the main colors Black, Chocolate & Yellow. We do not raise dilute colors and that is a personal choice.

I own a Grooming & Boarding facility which is where meet & greets typically happen. Being a groomer for the last 7 years (also an ISU grad WOOP WOOP!) I see a lot of allergies happen with the dilutes and whites, hence our choice not to raise those colors.

Our first babies start leaving tomorrow and Saturday 🥹 time to help complete some families with their new best friend

Also had to make a special post for Matt's little girl. She was the only girl in both litters that did not want to stay out of the water and was arguably the fastest swimmer from both litters

The next 10 days are going to be busy with these 22 puppers!

Our family will be on vacation tomorrow till Monday so we won't get any pictures out.

Pups get their final round of dewormer this week and then they have vet checkups on Monday & Tuesday. As long as they clear they can start leaving next week! 🥰

We plan to do some swimming videos next week.

Now that all of Echo's pups have gone to their new homes we can focus on our 22 new bundles of cuteness!! 🖤🤎💛

We are currently going through our waitlist and will have an updated availability list hopefully on Friday. These pups will be ready the last weekend in June

Most of Echo's litter has left and this was her FINAL litter. She has been scheduled to be spayed next month.

Not only was a singleton puppy a first for this year but we also decided to try doing Ai (artificial insemination)

We had a great family adopt a puppy from us last year and they reached back out to see if we were interested in using their older male as a stud.
We said yes (all his OFAs & genetic testing was great) but unfortunately this 10 year old boy's libido wasn't cooperating and hence the discussion of Ai happened.

Nova is HEAVILY pregnant and due any day. The sire owner plans to keep a black male and we also plan to keep a little girl from this pairing.

Below is what Poacher's family has to say and we have uploaded some pictures.

"Poach is our 10 year old waterfowl lab. He is 58 lbs and a high energy, quick, exceptional black lab. He has retrieved over 8 thousand ducks in his career. He is a guides dream as he’s great in the duck blind but also excels in the upland field. Hips are OFA excellent and elbows are OFA normal. He’s AKC registered and comes from a long line of excellent hunters. This will be our one and only litter of his pups. Outside of hunting, Poacher goes everywhere with us. He’s our family dog first and doesn’t miss a day of work. As poach heads towards a well deserved retirement, we are very excited to add one of his son’s to our pack and hope some of these pups will get to train and hunt together."

Today Echo's litter had their vet checkup and have been cleared to leave starting next weekend!

Saturday we were also part of Hills Bank Barnyard Day! (Washington Branch) These pups got to meet over 200+ kids and were definitely worn out.
