ned, displaced, or otherwise homeless, fluffy, small-breed dogs, primarily Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apsos. We also operate a Forever Foster “sanctuary” program where dogs may live out their natural lives, if adoption is not possible due to age, health, or behavior. We are headquartered in South East Michigan and our dogs are fostered in private homes across the US. We currently adopt within the continental US (subject to applicable regulations for the import of dogs) and offer free transport by air (in cabin) or road to most out-of-state adopters. Good morning. Due to personal and professional obligations, we have not been as active on social media in recent weeks. We anticipate a return in the coming days. All rescue matters that are pending will be addressed as we get back to a more normal schedule.

Since arriving in rescue in May, Tiernan has been making steady progress at home, learning routines, gaining trust, and feeling more comfortable and secure.

Lately, when outside the home, he has grown more protective of that FM when they are out and about. Perhaps his instincts are sharpening, and he is sensing something she cannot.

Time will tell how he continues to adjust, but his devotion is unmistakable. He is a good boy. ☘️💚

💔 Our intake remains closed. 💔

In the past month alone, we have received requests to take in nearly 40 dogs. Sadly, we simply do not have the bandwidth right now. Before we can help more, we must find homes for the adoptable dogs in our care, and so far, the right-fit matches have not yet come along.

Times are tough. Our hearts ache for everyone struggling, but most of all for the furbabies who do not deserve any of this.

If you are unable to adopt, please consider sharing our Featured Post of adoptable dogs at the top of our page. Every share can potentially help a waiting pup find the best-fit home and make space for another in need. 💚☘️
