🌈 In Loving Memory of Wolfie 🌈

We pay homage today to Wolfie, who passed away from age-related causes, on August 29, 2025. Wolfie was the beloved brother of our Angel Barkley in his former family, and because his Mom stayed in touch with us about Barkley, we were blessed to follow Wolfie’s journey too.

His Mom shared, "Wolfie had been abused by his first family and was surrendered as a result. When he came to us, he immediately bonded with me (his new mommy) and Barkley. He loved to play with Barkley as much as possible, and the two of them often played tug of war together—it was so cute! If Wolfie was not playing, he was either snuggling with Barkley or with me. He was a big snuggler."

Run free, sweet Wolfie. You are reunited with Barkley now. Both of you were such good boys, deeply loved and forever missed. 🕊️

ADOPTION Pupdate – Cooper and Aidan Turner

Super Duper Cooper (Yorkie Tzu) and Aidan (CavaTzu), along with their sweet Bichon brother, Bentley, form the handsome ABC Trio, as that FM fondly calls them. 💚☘️

Now thriving in North Carolina, the boys enjoy walks, family time, and beach vacations with their Mom, Jamie, and Dad, Anthony. Their journeys prior to rescue were not always easy.

Cooper, about 8, began life in Northern Michigan, where his first family kept this tiny pup outdoors. Later adopted by another family, he still struggled in a home with grandchildren.

Aidan, about 7, came from a pet store in Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi, MI. After his dad passed away, he could not adjust to life with his human sister’s family and acted out from stress and grief.

Both boys needed the right environment to feel safe, and they found it when Jamie and Anthony opened their home and hearts. Cooper was adopted in 2020 and Aidan in 2023.

Today, Cooper and Aidan are cherished, spoiled, and finally living the stable, joyful life they deserve.

Thank you, Jamie and Anthony, for giving our spicy boys their “Happily Ever After.”

BACK HOME thankfully! Trapped 4 miles from home yesterday after 12 days on the run per a NextDoor post and comment from his Dad below. I bet they are relieved and exhilarated to have him back.

ADOPTION Pupdate

Our blue-eyed pea, Finnegan Turner, and his puppy brother, Rupert, live with Mom Teri and Dad Scott in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes. He was adopted in February 2022 and is now about 7 years old.

Mom Teri shares, "Rupert is 10 months now and loves Finn so much. Finn enjoys him too on his terms. Lol.

[...] Dr. Matt also helps us with any annoying eyelashes that he is able to safely pluck due to his eyelash condition (ETA: Finnegan has chronic distichiasis that results in eye irritation). His liver is stable and super healthy all around. He is such a little gent to all.

On our walks Finnegan greets everyone and loves their attention. He is the proverbial Mayor of Duluth on walks. 😄

We sure are blessed with these boys but I tell ya, I would rather adopt a senior than a puppy! Wow! He adds pep to our lives for sure."

Honoring the heroes of 9/11 – both human and canine – whose courage and sacrifice we remember today.

An estimated 300 Search and Rescue dogs worked at the 9/11 sites, including Ground Zero and the Pentagon.

Here are a few names of those K9s:

Apollo, Bretagne, Cara, Charlie, Coby, Guinness, Hansen, Kaiser, Morgan, Nero, Nikie, Red, Ricky, Riley, Roselle, Sage, Salty, Sirius, Tara, Thunder, Tikva, Titus, Trakr, Trustt, Valor, Willow...

Never forgotten. Always in our hearts.
