With the warmer weather coming (let's forget that it snowed yesterday 😝), many dog owners will spend more time outside with their dogs. So this is a great time to discuss socialization.

Socialization is the process of introducing your dog to new people, places, experiences, animals and sounds in a positive and well planned manner. Early socialization is the best way to ensure your puppy doesn't develop fears or anxieties. When introducing anything new, your dog is looking for cues from you through your energy. If you're anxious or nervous, your dog will sense and reflect that energy. So step 1 -- take deep breathes, loosen tension in your muscles and manage your outlook.

This sweet girl completed training with Johnny last week. Charlotte is a high-energy and excitable dog. Her guardian and Johnny worked hard on walking her in a more controlled manner to reduce pulling and lunging. Calmness is increased and jumping greatly decreased. Her guardian wrote this lovely 5-star review on Google about her experience -- thank you, Denise! We're not sure who will miss the end of lesson playtime more, Charlotte or Johnny!

Another great ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐review! Resource guarding is a serious challenge but it can be resolved. Through calm, confident and consistent leadership, Johnny and our client Rachel taught this dog rules/boundaries and to respect/trust his leaders. Resource guarding can include food, toys, places or even people. Addressing resource guarding resolves anxiety/fear so your dog can lead his best life.

HUMBLE-BRAG ALERT
Life is too short to not reflect and share the cool moments. Winnie went through training with Johnny to help her anxiety and build confidence. Her human mom wanted her to be able to attend daycare.
