The American Paint Horse Association, a multi-million dollar international organization and the worldโs second largest equine breed registry, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Dellin as its new chief executive officer, effective immediately. As CEO, Dellin will lead APHAโs family of brands: the non-profit American Paint Horse Association, its wholly owned for-profit subsidiary Marked For Greatness Properties LLC, and the charitable American Paint Horse Foundation.
With more than a decade of experience as part of APHAโs senior management team, Dellin brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to the position. An Oklahoma State University graduate, Dellin first joined APHA as Director of Judges in 2012 and was instrumental in the development of innovative showing-and judge-education resources, including APHAโs interactive learning platform horseIQ.com. Dellinโs expertise and experience has yielded partnerships between APHA and other equine organizations to streamline, modernize, and create their own stakeholder resources through APHAโs proprietary platform. Previously, Dellin was a professional horse trainer and judge; he also served as past president of the National Snaffle Bit Association.
โI am honored to have the opportunity to lead APHA into the future,โ Dellin said. โFor the last decade, Iโve been proud to be part of one of the most innovative and creative organizations in the equine industry. The opportunity to now lead that same organization is one that I look forward to with great enthusiasm.โ

โPikeโ is and outstanding AAA off the track 3 year old home raised APHA gelding. He is as safe as it gets and has all the get up and go without being on the muscle!
* Paid current into Ruby Buckle, Chrome Buckle and Future Fortunes. Eligible for Paint Barrel Racing Incentive Program (PBRIP).
* Started on barrels and loping a nice pattern. Really wants to work! He picks up his leads with ease, neck reins, moves off leg and side passes. Very willing to please and learn. He has a kind personality and a great mind. Pike rides both in a short shank snaffle and in a hackamore. He is rode through the hills multiple times a week on top of arena work. He does best with a light handed rider. Great trailer manners. Not buddy or trailer sour. This guy is an absolute dream to ride and be around. He is truly a one of a kind 3 year old!
* He has a 90 speed index and race earnings of close to $19,000! With his mature mind set and outstanding athletic abilities he is sure to excel in the rodeo area as well!
