We are so proud of this guy and can't help but share another picture of our Uncle D c**t out of the great mare, MISS BETH DUTTON! She was a Grade 1 stakes winner in the RUI Rainbow Oaks and was second in the All American Oaks, earning total lifetime earnings of $314,877. The daughter of Kiss My Hocks also welcomed a filly by Favorite Cartel for the Mazes (her former racing connections) earlier this year.

✨OQHRA Annual Awards and Hall of Fame Banquet to Honor Excellence in Oklahoma Horse Racing✨

The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association (OQHRA) is proud to announce the upcoming Annual Awards and Hall of Fame Banquet, celebrating the achievements and extraordinary contributions to the world of Quarter Horse racing. The event will take place on February 22, 2025, at the Grand Casino Hotel and Resort in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

This year’s banquet marks a significant milestone as OQHRA inducts a stellar class into the Hall of Fame, honoring those whose dedication and excellence have left a lifelong impact on sport. The 2024 Hall of Fame inductees include:

Randy Wilson: Celebrated for his outstanding contributions as jockey, trainer, and horseman.

Ronald Mason: A trailblazer who not only can be credited for the foundation Quarter Horses of the past, but he was also influential in the formation of the American Quarter Horse Association and an avid member during the early years of Oklahoma racing.

PV Quarter Horse Farms: Renowned for its exceptional breeding program, producing champions that have defined the sport.

Dashing Follies: An extraordinary mare whose lineage and racing legacy have set benchmarks in the industry.

DM Schicago: A remarkable competitor whose achievements have captivated fans and set records on the track.

Additionally, the prestigious Debbie Schauf Spirit Award will be presented to Jeff Tebow. This award recognizes an individual who embodies the spirit of generosity, commitment, and passion that Debbie Schauf exemplified throughout her life. Jeff Tebow’s unwavering dedication to the Quarter Horse racing community and his exemplary leadership make him a deserving recipient of this honor.

The banquet will also recognize the 2024 Racing Champions of the American Paint Horse Association, The Appaloosa Horse Club, The American Quarter Horse Regional Racing Champions, The OHRC Oklahoma Bred Year End Champions, as well as the meet champions from each Oklahoma racetrack.

Due to the many purses across the country that are being held by the respective racing commissions, the OQHRA board of directors has voted to postpone the recognition of the OQHRA Year End Awards. These awards recognize horses that were foaled in Oklahoma or owned by an Oklahoman. They are based on earnings throughout the country, not just in Oklahoma; therefore, some pending races could affect the final award winners. Those winners will be announced as soon as possible.

UPDATE - I'm sorry we have to cancel doing additional photos today. 😢we hope to do this again at a future sale, as it was a big hit!!!

We all love shopping for, selling and buying horses at the Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale! Another favorite part is seeing friends from near and far. Jess & Nicole set up a fun little "pop up Photo Booth" this afternoon and captured some memories - if you missed out - make sure you come by the Cavenaugh stalls on Saturday with your best sale buddy or a fun photo prop! They have LOTS more photos they will be sharing.
