IMA SIXY MAN just recorded another stakes win! Winning by nearly 2 lengths, this is his TENTH career win, and FIFTH for this year alone. The four year old gelding by Corona Cartel was bred by Cavenaugh Quarter Horses. Congrats to all his connections!

Cavenaugh Quarter Horses has a big heart for giving our off the track horses a second career that fits them. For this race winner with nearly 18k in track earnings, that means a life in the barrel pen.

We've been slacking and failed to introduce a new member of the team, Franklin! Some of us are taking more time than others to warm up to the new face.

Although his efforts are great, he does have some limitations. Therefore, our search for an Assistant Ranch Manager continues. 😁 Exceptional people skills and horse knowledge required. If you think you fit the bill, please give us a call at the ranch and ask to speak with Mike.

Now all grown up -- This baby girl stretched her legs last night at Los Al and got qualified to the GRADE 2 PCQHRA BREEDERS' FUTURITY! We're so proud of her.

BIG NIGHT for our 2 year old filly, D Fawn! She ran a strong second place in her trial for the GRADE 2 - PCQHRA BREEDERS' FUTURITY. The final will run on September 15 at Los Alamitos Race Course in Cypress, CA. Great job girl! Thanks Eddie and Justene for getting her there.

D Fawn is sired by Uncle D and out of the graded stakes winner, Weetonas Lafawn by Valiant Hero. In six starts, D Fawn is won twice and been second twice. We are hoping for a big run in the finals.

So Sixy It Hurts, a three year old filly by FDD Dynasty out of Cavenaugh broodmare, Jess So Sixy, qualified to the Sweetwater Downs Derby today at Rock Springs, WY. So Sixy It Hurts was a $50,000 Heritage Place purchase by Bill Doenz. She is trained by Josh Taylor and was ridden by David Alvarez, Jr. Congrats to all the connections!

Our baby girl, D FAWN, ran her first out today! Might not have gotten the win we hoped for on her first try but she did so much right. Gotta enjoy the whole ride- she was "IN THE HUNT THE WHOLE WAY" and earned an 80 speed index. She gained experience, now on to the next one!

Dr Tom had a minor surgery so while he's away LEROY stepped up to supervisor role.

We are a breeder and owner of racing Quarter Horses. We strive to bred to for natural athletic ability and soundness in our horses. We believe the horse’s well being is most important, because of this we never use any performance enhancing drugs on our horses. We want the horse’s natural talent and ability shine through.

We are the owner of Uncle D the 2019 2 Year Old AQHA Champion C**t and the 2019 AQHA 2 Year Old Champion. He will continue his running career in 2020. We have many more horses racing in 2020 and look forward to see how they will perform.
