In response to the current Canine Respiratory Disease Outbreak in Delaware, we are proud to offer free canine influenza and distemper vaccines to dogs in the community. Free appointment times, starting Wednesday, are now open at our Animal Health Centers in New Castle, Dover, and Georgetown. Two dogs per household can register per time slot.
The free flu vaccines will be provided thanks to generous supporters Tatiana and Gerret Copeland through Reggie's Fund. Free distemper vaccines are provided by Petco Love’s national vaccination initiative.

Have a dog that loves to sniff? A pup that can’t keep their nose off the ground? Imprinting and teaching them to find odor is a fantastic way to work their brains by meeting biological needs! We imprint on Clove, Birch, Anise, Cypress.
Cost: $30 per session, per dog

This session is 30 minutes long to start where we work on imprinting odor, indication and increase difficulty as your pup learns.

As the weather heats up, it’s important to remain aware of how the heat affects your pup. Heat exhaustion in dogs can lead to serious and potentially fatal conditions such as heat stroke and cardiac arrest. To help keep your dog safe and cool during the summer. It is important to remember that dogs cannot control their body temperature by sweating as humans do, since they only have a relatively small number of sweat glands, located on their footpads.

👅 Their primary way of regulating body temperature is by panting👅

🐾 Breeds with a restricted airway (also known as brachycephalic breeds) or flat faced dogs such as pugs, boxers and bulldogs are at greater risk🐾

🔥Know the Warning Signs🔥

🐾 heavy panting
🐾heavy drooling (when the drooling is a constant stream)
🐾lethargy (stupor, disoriented, and staggering)
🍺 they can kind of appear to be “drunk”
🐾a dry nose and gums
🐾sunken, dry-looking eyes
🐾sometimes a bright red tongue
🐾A scooped tongue
🐾loss of skin elasticity
🐾 high heart rate and a chest expanding quickly

Group Obedience Saturdays 10 am to 11 am
2 to 8 dogs per class

Class will begin with a 10-minute warm up session, during which the trainer will greet and briefly check over each puppy.

The main body of the class will focus on training goals appropriate to the dogs, and then finish with a cool down session, just like a gym class!

All of our classes are “Drop In” which means you pay per class and can come to as many classes as you would like. Reservations must be made for class to secure your spot.
