Ever wonder what's included during our week long Organized rides??

From start to finish, we serve 25 meals of down home Southern cooking, guided trail rides from our skilled Trail Bosses on over 5000 acres of beautiful countryside along the Buffalo River, music and dancing every night with our house band Crooked Creek, Wednesday night Bingo, Thursday Horse Show, Friday Fun Auction, swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, cave exploring, scavenger games and lots of fantastic giveaways during our Friday night drawing.

During all of our organized rides we will have the following services available for a fee:

Camp Veterinarian (large animal only)
Camp Farrier
Freezebranding
Professional Photographer
RV Repair
Septic Truck (Wednesday only otherwise we have our dump station)

Our camp store has tack, horse supplies, toiletries, ice cream and drinks for your convenience.

We also sell: (prices subject to change)

Hay $12 per bale (Orchard Grass and Bermuda)
Shavings $8.50 per bag
Ice $3 per 8lb bag

Our 100 acre campground has over 350 campsites with just electric and over 400 covered stalls in our 16 barns. River water is available at every barn for your horses or mules.

There is one fresh water filling station in the upper camp and one fresh water filling station in the lower camp. Our dump station is in the upper camp. We have a bathhouse with laundry facilities in our upper camp and a bathhouse in our lower camp.

Adam Presley will be available for your trailer repair needs during our July Organized ride! He can do A/C service, roof checks, lights, bearings, electrical issues, pretty much anything overall light to medium maintenance. NO FLOOR REPAIRS please. Leave a comment in this post or message Adam if you know of some work you would like him to do during the ride so he can be prepared.

July 4th Holiday weekend

Arrival and departure dates may vary as per your reservation.

EVERYONE must stop at the office the very first thing before going to campsite to fill out one liability per person whether they are riding or not. Liabilities are available to fill out after office hours as well and are located on the porch. Fill one out for each person and slide under door if office closed. Then come back to office at 8am when open.

Negative Coggins is required to be current and presented at the time of arrival and prior to unloading.

The Holiday fee covers two nights and three days. Any additional nights will be an extra charge.

Holiday Fees:

Holiday Adult $60 plus tax (13 yr and over)
Holiday Child $25 plus tax (8-12 yrs)
Holiday Child $10 plus tax (4-7 yrs)

Additional Nights:
Adult (13 and over) $20 plus tax each night
Child (8-12) $5 plus tax each night
Child (4-7) $3.50 plus tax each night

Covered stalls are a one-time fee of $8 plus tax each that covers your whole stay.

Box Stalls are $12 per stall per day, plus a one time clean up fee of $8 per stall.

Good items to bring in addition to your usual supplies:

Garden Hose
Wheel Barrow
Wagon
Stall Fork
Spare Fresh Water Tank

Along with our paper map of the trails, we are now utilizing Gaia GPS to help navigate the trails. Please download the app before you get to camp and I can help you with the rest to get you set up.

Our Camp Veterinarian and Camp Farrier will be available all weekend for your convenience.

Our house band Crooked Creek will be playing in the dancehall on Friday and Saturday night only.

4 Piglets BBQ will be our food vendor.

Our professional photographer Kelly Bryson will be available all weekend for group photos and private sessions.

Freeze branding appointments will be accepted as time allows.

We have some GREAT NEWS!! We were able to upgrade our internet service to FIBER!! Let me tell you, not one person (of our almost 500 guests) came to the office over Memorial Day weekend and told me "I can't get the internet to work on my phone". Internet will still only work in and around the office, but it works a thousand times better now! Check the message board on the office porch for the new sign on.

UPDATE: We will offer this class on October 12th too!

We are very excited to announce that we will be hosting equine first aid classes!

The first class will be on Sunday, September 8th from 9am to 4:30pm.

Camp with us for the weekend or just come for the class.

Please let me know if you are interested in attending and when we get closer to the date, we will get everyone officially signed up.

Standard Equine Health and Emergency First Aid class.

*Class fee is $169 per student.

This class is a pre-requisite to the Advanced classes.

******Join us for a one day course covering: what your Vet needs to know, conditioning a horse to accept treatment, taking vital signs, dealing with lacerations, punctures, colic, choke, collapse, shock, hoof issues, recognizing pain in the horse and pain source identification, spinal health, injury prevention and so much more!

All attendees receive a certificate of completion, first aid manual and vitals card.

This course earns you professional development credits for various organizations.

Are you planning on attending our July Organized Ride? Every year on the Wednesday night of the ride at the dance, Debbie Meads puts together a theme night and this year the theme is the movie Grease! All are welcome to participate! Wear your rolled up jeans and t-shirts, poodle skirts and punk ladies t-shirt or just come as you are.

How long have you been coming to the Buffalo??

Did you know that we give out Belt Buckles for coming to our week long organized rides? We give out in 5 year increments. (5, 10, 15, 20 etc) It does not have to be 5 years in a row, you can skip years but only a full week stay and one ride per year counts.

REMINDER: The deadline to cancel your reservation for our June Organized ride is Monday, June 3rd. Please let us know if you will not be able to attend.

There are still plenty of campsites available in our lower camp for the June ride but we do not have any stalls available at this time. You are more than welcome to picket your horse. Reservations are being taken up to and during the Ride Week.

Our vendors for this Memorial Day weekend:

Our professional photographer, Kelly Bryson will be here to take photos and capture your memories this weekend. Group photos and private sessions are available.

Our campground Veterinarian, Dr. Elise Jones DVM will be available all weekend in case you need veterinary care for your horse or mule.

Our Holiday Farrier, Dylan Douglas of Douglas Horseshoeing will be available Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 730am to 10am and 4pm to dark for shoeing.

Our Hat Guy, JT Ferrell will be here with his regular fantastic inventory of hats and is also available for custom work.

4 Piglets BBQ Will start serving food this evening for supper and all the way through Breakfast on Sunday.

Crooked Creek band will also be here Friday and Saturday nights.

For those of you who are attending our Memorial Day weekend:

1. First and foremost, did you make your reservations yet???

2. 4 Piglets BBQ will be here starting Thursday night through Sunday at lunchtime so you won't need to cook much while you are here.

3. Please remember there is NO DAY RIDING allowed during our events. Day riding will resume 05/28/24. (Day riding means just coming in for the day to ride and then leave without staying overnight)

4. Our Holiday fees (details below) are charged per person and per horse. NOT per campsite. All attendees must stop at the office as soon as they arrive. The minimum fee for anyone attending this weekend will be the Holiday fee even if they decide to only stay one night or even just visiting for the day. So please try to make plans to stay at least two nights to get your moneys worth.

HOLIDAY FEES: (the Holiday fee covers two nights and three days, no matter what two nights you choose)

$60 per person plus tax 13 years and older
$25 per person plus tax 8-12 years old
$10 per person plus tax 4-7 years old

ADDITIONAL NIGHTS: (Third, Fourth or Fifth night etc)

$20 per person plus tax 13 years and older
$5 per person plus tax 8-12 years old
$3.50 person plus tax 4-7 years old

There is a one-time maintenance fee of $8 per horse whether picketing, in one of our regular covered stalls or box stalls. Stalls subject to availability.

Box stalls are $12 per day per stall if available.

We charge by the night and do not charge you for the last day. If it is dark, it is night. If it is light, it is day. Example: If you arrive at 2am, that is dark and you will be charged for that night.

We are super excited to see our Memorial Day friends and camp family again. It's looking to be another wonderful season and we can't wait to share it with you! See you soon!!
