When we focus on something specific we tend to overlook subtle details. Details that stop us in our tracks in awe and for just a brief period of time we pause our previous agenda and absorb the moment. This happened to me the other day during a training session with Bella. Here’s a clue in poem form that I found profoundly fitting for the discovery that made me stop and smile.

In the twinkle of a pup's eye,
Lies a secret so divine, oh so sly,
Long lashes flutter like a butterfly's wing,
Whispering tales only a dog could sing.

They frame her gaze with delicate grace,
Softly brushing against her loyal face,
Each blink a gentle, spectral dance,
A quiet plea for love and a chance.

Oh dog with lashes dark and deep,
You hold secrets we shall forever keep,
In your eyes, a universe untold,
Of love and loyalty, more precious than gold.
