🐾 Penny is on trial! 🐾

Penny 🌻

Sweet Penny is a 6 year old Dachshund who is almost impossible to get a picture of! 🙃

Penny is super sensitive and slow moving. She just wants to lay on her bed and get her belly rubbed! Though she is the best walker, even in the tall grass. ☺️

Penny has moments where she potties outside then she switches it up on us and will have no interest in doing it anymore. She just rolls her own way! 🤗

Penny does not seem to mind other dogs, but we would ask for a meet and greet if you have pups in the home. 🐶

Penny does have a hernia in her back that can flare up on her from time to time. This is something that will need to be monitored by a vet.

Penny is up to date on her vaccines, microchipped, dewormed and spayed!

The Raisin 😍

This sweet and sensitive boy is our 4 Month Old Boxer/Mastiff Mix. For being such a big boy, he has no idea his size! He wants to be snuggled up with his humans!

The Raisin is super shy! We are working on gaining his confidence each day! But my goodness is this boy a love bug!

The Raisin is working on potty training. He does walk wonderfully on lead, he stays right by your side!

This handsome boy is a 6 year old Dalmation who is back from trial due to having some issues.

Maximus is his own man, he enjoys things his way! He enjoys the simple pace of life but does enjoy going on walks. Sometimes he gets a little fancy and will start running!

Maximus came to us with another dog but he can be selective on who he calls a friend. If you have a dog in the house, we do require a meet and greet to ensure that everybody does get along.

We are asking for Maximus to be in a home without small children. He needs human friends that understands he has some silly personality traits and can give him space when he needs it.

Maximus is microchipped, neutered, dewormed and up to date on his vaccines! Please feel free to stop by the shelter to meet this unique boy!

Captain Chaos 🛼

This handsome boy is a 5 month old Border Collie Mix who is totally living up to his name! 🥳

Captain Chaos absolutely loves running and playing! He gets along well with other dogs he meets! Though if you do have dogs in the home, we do require a meet and greet. He does jump a good bit and we are trying to teach him about all four paws on the floor.

Captain Chaos would definitely love an active lifestyle where he can run and play! He seems interested in water so maybe some lake adventures could be in his future!

Mack is a 3 year old domestic medium hair cat. He is so handsome and well behaved! He’s a very confident guy. Mack did come to us severely matted so he had to be shaved but we included pictures of what he looks like with all his hair as well! 🤩

Mack is a super cool guy. He loves to explore all the new places. He will make a great house cat. Mack is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. If you are interested in him, he will be at the shelter until tomorrow and then after that he will be at Petsense in Saint Robert! 🐟

The rest of our Great Pyrenees puppies will be ready to go tomorrow!

These sweet munchkins are 3 months old! They are not quite potty trained but they do go outside given the opportunity! We think potty trained will be a breeze once they set into your routine.🐾They love being outside and playing! They have met other dogs, cats, and children and are friendly will all!

Moxxie is absolutely fearless! He’s such a confident boy! Moxxie is usually the pack leader and loves to keep his siblings on their toes. Moxxie met small children and did phenomenal with them! He’s very calm and affectionate.💗

Stolas is a very sensitive guy! He’s very shy for a couple days when he meets you. But once he warms up, he is the absolute sweetest boy. He has so much love to give! He knows sit, lay down, and spin!✨He is so smart and eager to learn.

Octavia is so, so sweet. She is so confident on leash and loves to go for long walks. She would make the best adventure buddy. She loves to learn anything for a snack. 😍

Millie is still learning how to be confident. New things make her nervous, but when she sees his siblings be brave, she wants to be brave as well. She is beyond friendly with everyone! She loves to be pet and held.♥️

All of them know the sit command! They’ve all begun learning how to walk on leash and are doing amazing. These are some of the most perfect and well behaved puppies we’ve ever had. Don’t miss out on them! 🤩🐾

Blitzo 🤡 & Fizz💗

These handsome boys are the first of our Great Pyrenees mix puppies to be ready! They are around 3 months old and could they be any cuter?😍

Blitzo is a confident boy who loves to do all the things with his favorite person. He loves to be outside and play with his siblings. Once Blitzo is done playing, he can’t wait to find a warm lap to curl up in!🐾

Fizz can be a bit shy when you first meet him. But once he realizes you’re cool, he loves to be affectionate. He likes to stick close to his people. He also can’t resist a nice nap out in the grass.🤩

The boys haven’t had much of an opportunity to meet new dog friends besides their siblings, but they are dog friendly! It may take them a moment to warm up to your pup, but then they’ll play for hours. The boys have also met a cat and children and did well with both. They are not quite potty trained, but will go outside given the opportunity! Once they’re set in a routine, we think potty training will be a breeze. Both boys also know the sit command!🩵

As far as puppies go, this litter is pretty much perfect! They are very laid back! If you’ve been waiting for a calmer puppy, this is your chance. However they are still puppies and will needs lots of training and patience! But these guys are absolutely perfect! Don’t miss your chance with these cuties!🐾😍

Slim 🥏

This tank of a ShihTzu is 2 year old Slim! He is so eager to be outside, he will pull to each new location! He absolutely loves meeting new dogs and finding a new post or blade of grass he hasn't called his own yet! 😅

Slim is so sweet and full of personality! He loves being in his outside run keeping a close eye on thr parking lot action! Slim appears to be potty trained but we understand new environments may cause an accident.

Scrappy is a 2 year old Bichon Frise Mix who is such a lively boy! He loves going for walks and running through the tall grass! 🦎

Scrappy appears to be mostly potty trained but he does mark from time to time in his kennel. But there is just so many smells, he cannot help himself.

This handsome boy is a 1 year old Dalmation! He is such a handsome man who loves to sit to get a handsome picture! 🌼

Bucee appears to be potty trained! He loves to be outside and absolutely loves playing fetch! Bucee definitely needs some work on his leash skills as he does pull really hard. Though we know with work he will be a good walker.

Bucee does not seem to mind other dogs but a meet and greet is required for pups already in the household. 🐶

The shelter understands that adopting out bonded pairs can be extremely difficult. But we are hopeful these sweet boys can be the exception to the rule!

J.Z. is a 2 year old AussieDoodle and Leo is a 2 year old Silky Terrier. J.Z. is extremely codependent on Leo and is a nervous wreck when Leo is not near. Leo on the other hand, well he is always ready for a good time! 🤣

J.Z. appears to be potty trained, Leo unfortunately is not. Though we are hoping once Leo gets neutered he will stop marking as much.

The boys don't seem to mind other dogs but a meet and greet would be required if you have pups in the home. 🐶

J.Z. will need time warming up and feeling comfortable with new people, but with little Leo by his side, he will continue to try and be a brave boy! 🥳

Linus is a Poodle/Schnauzer Mix who is around 2 years of age! He loves other dogs though can sometimes be shy meeting new people. Linus appears to be potty trained. He absolutely loves food and will dance for treats. He is scared of the dark so he would love a nightlight! ☺️

Linus is due to be neutered tomorrow and then will be available for a 10 Day Trial.

Introducing the newest arrivals!😍

We received a litter of Great Pyrenees mix puppies after they were dumped on a farm and they were being given away! These sweet babies came to us covered in fleas and very skinny! We estimate these cuties are around 3 months old!🤩These babies are the absolute sweetest and love to be cuddled up! Once they’re done playing, they all love to lounge around for nap time!💗

Now they’ve all received their vaccines and got freshened up in the bath! They will have to wait awhile to get spayed and neutered after their quarantine but until then, they will be working on leash manners and basic commands!🐾

If you’re interested in one of these babies, get your applications in now! They will all be ready in around 2-3 weeks! They will come spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.

🚫 Amazing News, Lucy is out on trial through Loving Paws!! 🚫

528 days.

Think about your life for the past 528 days. All the fun things you’ve gotten to do. Poor Lucy has been waiting for her home all of that time. Sitting in a kennel, wondering why no one wants to adopt her.🥺 All of her shelter friends have repeatedly come and gone. And all the while, sweet Lucy has been overlooked. All Lucy wants is a family to love her and give her the attention she needs. Lucy adores people and children! She is dog friendly with proper introduction. Her biggest downfall is she can’t live with cats. But surely there’s a cat free home waiting for her somewhere? Lucy loves the water and she loves to go for walks! She would make the best adventure buddy! It’s impossible not to be charmed by this sweet gal! 🤩

Lucy is beyond tired of shelter life. You can see how stressed she is.😭 Seeing the same kennel walls everyday would weigh on any dog. Did you know it only takes 23 days for a dog’s brain becomes overwhelmed by stress and noise of a shelter environment? Lucy waits day after day for someone to finally choose her. Lucy is 4 years old and has such a happy life ahead of her, we all know it! She has so much potential to be the best addition to someone’s family.

Part of Lucy’s problem is she becomes overwhelmed easily, but who could blame her? Some people view her reactivity as signs of aggression. But Lucy truly is tired of being overlooked! During our event today, we partnered with Loving Paws Adoption Center who Lucy is available for adoption through. We all got to see first hand what an amazing dog she could be outside of the shelter!
