Pike 🐟

Pike is not the biggest fan of shelter life! He would much rather be with a family where he can go for long walks and play all day! Pike is an 11 month old Labrador Retriever mix. He is full of energy and loves to learn. He is extremely food motivated, no one has taken the time to teach him anything!😭

Pros:
🏈He is a very sweet boy!
🏈He is fully potty trained
🏈He knows basic commands
🏈He loves other dogs and is neutral with cats
🏈He loves playing with children
🏈He is an absolute pro at fetch
🏈It only takes a couple moments for him to settle down!

Cons:
🍿He really needs help working on his leash walking skills. He pulls a lot!
🍿He is a high energy dog and will need lots of room to play or plenty of mentally enriching games

Pike is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccines! He is available for a ten day trial. 🍦

Lemon is the last of her litter!😭

Our sweet girl is so lonely now that all of her siblings have been adopted! Lemon hasn’t had a bit of interest and we are shocked. She is so cute and lovable! We love watching her goofy self play with other dogs.🧸

Lemon is a 9 week old Hound/Doberman mix. She absolutely loves to snuggle. She gives the best kisses and she absolutely adores children! She loves other dogs and doesn’t mind cats. She is always ready to party and would love to go with her future family on hikes or adventures! She would love a house full of kids to chase.💛

She is working hard on learning all the puppy things. She will need some help setting into a potty training routine. However, she walks extremely well on leash and loves going outside for walks! She is working on basic commands as well and is very food motivated. 🎀

Lemon is spayed, microchipped, dewormed and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. Come meet her today!🐾

Gina🦋

Everyone should stop what they’re doing and look at this stunning girl!🤩

This girl’s story absolutely breaks our hearts! 💔 Gina is a 2 year old Husky/Pitbull mix. Gina has had a lifetime of mistreatment and is very shy to trusting new people!😭 Even with her rocky past, Gina is sooo sweet. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She absolutely loves chin scratches!

It takes her a moment to trust people not to hurt her. But she warms up VERY quickly and loves to be pet. We think once she settles into a home she will be a huge snuggler. She loves to play with other dogs and has lived with children in the past. She tends to chase cats but doesn’t usually hurt them! However, that could be stressful for kitties so she may do best in a home with no cats! 🐈

Gina is fully potty trained, crate trained, and she knows basic commands. She walks so well on leash and loves to be outside. She is very calm and doesn’t get hyper at all! She will make a wonderful addition to any home! We can’t wait for her to find a loving home who will treat her amazing for the rest of her life! She has not deserved a drop of the very rough life she has lived so far!🥺

Gina will be spayed on Monday and will be available for a ten day trial Monday afternoon! She will also be microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccines. Come meet our wonderful girl and we know she will steal your heart like she’s stolen ours!🩷

Helga is a 3 year old German Shepherd mix. Helga has been absolutely adored by her foster family and her trial family! She is an extremely well behaved girl and does so well settling. She does love to play as well, and loves fetch. 🎾

Helga does well with most other dogs, she can be a bit picky with her female friends! She does well with children and doesn’t seem to mind cats either. She is fully potty trained and knows basic commands. Helga walks very well on leash! She is such a perfect girl and will make her forever home very happy! 🎀

Lemon 🍋 & Goblin 🦈

Lemon and Goblin are the last two of their litter left! These sweet babies have had zero interest!😭 They are 8 week old Hound/Doberman mixes.

Lemon is a very sweet girl and she loves to cuddle. She loves to give kisses and is such a happy girl. She walks very well on leash! She plays very well with other dogs, doesn’t mind cats, and loves children! She is a super smart girl and training her should be a breeze!🤩

Goblin is our energetic boy! He has such a chaotic energy but he’s so goofy that you can’t help but love him. He is so playful and loves to chase balls! 🎾 He loves to play with other dogs, cats, and children! He does need some work with his puppy nipping.

Both of these sweet babies will still need some help learning all the puppy things! However, they are professional cuddlers and make up for it with how much they love you!🥰 Both babies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines.🐾 They do not need to be adopted together.

We are so overcome with excitement and shock by the amount of donations we received! 🦴🧼🥜

Our shelter cannot do the awesome things we do for our animals without the help of others! 🫶

Pike 🐠

Pike is an 11 month old Labrador/German Shepherd mix. We can’t understand why this poor guy could’ve ended up here because Pike is the sweetest thing! He is very playful and loves to adventure. He adores spending time basking in the sun and going for long walks! 🌲

Pike will make an amazing adventure buddy. He is good with other dogs!🐶 He loves people so much! Pike appears to be mostly potty trained. He does get a little hyper but who could blame him? He loves to party! 🎉

So many cute puppies!😍

These 7 sweet babies and their lovely mama were left out during the really bad snow storm last week! They were left next to a dumpster to freeze to death. The sweet little babies were soaking wet and most definitely wouldn’t have survived all of that snow! ❄️😭

Luckily one of our animal control officers raced to save them! 🩵Their brave mama stayed with them the whole time and even tried getting them burrowed down in the woods. Now they’re all safe and sound and having the best time! We believe they are around 7-8 weeks old. 🐶

We named mama dog Alaska and we believe she is a 3-4 year old Golden Doodle mix. We believe dad of the puppies was possibly a German Shepherd, making them Doodle/Shepherd mixes. 💘

These puppies are very relaxed and are so well behaved compared to our normal rowdy litters! They love to snuggle with their siblings and play for a little bit.💋

Alaska is extremely sweet and loves attention! She loves being close to people and is so trusting. She goes potty outside like a pro and walks very well on leash. She sits politely for snacks and is the cutest thing when she curls up on a bed!🤩

Alaska and her puppies will be fixed, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines on the 13th of March. Until then, we will be taking applications on them! They are currently housed at our Fort Leonard Wood location. For more information on them, message on Facebook or call the shelter at 573-774-6509. Our sweet Pablo is back from trial due to no fault of his own! 😭

Pablo is a 4-6 year old Shiba Inu/Chihuahua mix. Pablo is extremely calm and well mannered. He spends a lot of time cozied up in his bed. So if you’ve been looking for a nap buddy, Pablo is your man! 😍

Pablo takes a minute to come out of his shell! He is a finicky eater and prefers to graze whenever he’s hungry. He appears to be potty trained. He does well with dogs, cats, and children! Pablo is a very petite guy and is so perfect! We can’t believe he’s still looking for a forever home! 🥺

Cricket 🍋

This sweet little lady is a 3 month old Border Collie/Husky mix. Doesn’t she have the cutest eyes?🤩 Not to mention those ears are the cutest thing!

Cricket is very much a puppy and loves to play. But even more so, she LOVES to cuddle and give kisses. She curls up in your lap so fast. Cricket loves to play with other dogs, doesn’t mind cats, and does well with children. 🐶 She will need some help learning all the puppy things like potty training and basic commands. But this girl is so smart so we are certain she will pick up on it quickly! 🍓

Cricket is getting spayed tomorrow and will also be microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on vaccines! She will be ready for adoption afterwards!💘

Foxy 🦊

Look at this absolutely stunning girl!🤩We couldn’t settle on just one photo because she’s so photogenic! 😍

Foxy is a 7 year old Chow Chow! She is a very calm girl and so sweet. Foxy is very shy at first but she warms up quickly. She loves her people so fiercely. Foxy was an owner surrender and her family was beyond devastated to give her up, but they had to due to housing restrictions. She is such a loved girl and she will make her new family so happy. She is good with other dogs!🐶

Foxy is also fully potty trained and well mannered. She knows a couple basic commands and walks like a dream on leash! She is a perfect lady!❣️

Foxy will be getting spayed on the 16th of March. Until then, we will be taking applications only on her. She will also be microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on vaccines.💘

Gracie loved every moment she spent with them and truly appreciated every gift they gave her.🥹 Kind families from our community like this one make our hearts swell! We love seeing people love our dogs as much as we do! Our dogs love going for day outs, and it’s always an option if you want to help out a shelter dog but aren’t in a good place to adopt! 🎀 Truly can not give enough thanks! This video turned out amazing and is helping spread awareness to the realities of shelter life!
