"What a difference a few months makes (Jan 4th was 6 months). Triple Crown Perform Gold (initially 6lbs/day now at 5lbs), 3 months of Senior Weight Accelerator, now none, plus 4lbs of soaked alfalfa pellets, tapered to 2lbs and soon to be none and eating free choice orchard hay.

An incredible Story- Country was seized in a large seizure on the North Carolina/virginia border on July 27th 2024. The horses that Regina was slated to take in through the seizure ended up with someone else earlier in the day. So she was there with a trailer and told them she would try and get him on the trailer and see if he had a will. He started at 614 lbs with a zero body condition score, was at the start of renal failure, and had a heart murmur. Regina and her vet have worked together to bring him back into a vibrant life. He was not expected to survive. Just four months later he is jogging to the fence to whinny and greet you when you come to the farm. He has such a sweet personality, It's incredible to see his love for humans still after his years of neglect.

4 months later to the day he competed in a walk-trot dressage (virtual) competition because he loves to be ridden lightly. He was brought back on the UC Davis protocol with Triple Crown Alfalfa Cubes until he was able to start adding in Senior Gold. His diet was 30 lbs a day of alfalfa cubes soaked and fed throughout the day for the first 60 days. He has since worked his way up to 15 lbs a day of Senior Gold. His gum health has drastically improved and he is able to eat some regular hay, and alfalfa along with the cubes so has backed off the alfalfa cubes some. He is 28 years old!

His owner Regina, shares “Country just got his first qualifying dressage score in his first show. Four months exactly from the date he was seized by the US Equine Rescue. All thanks to Triple Crown Alfalfa Cubes and Senior Gold”
