IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
With temps expected to hit 100 and above this week, we want all our Paws-ability Unlimited family to stay safe. Dogs can overheat fast, and we are talking 15-20min in these temps! Keep exercise minimal, stick to early morning or late evening potty breaks, and check pavement with the back of your hand for seven seconds. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for paws. Watch for heavy panting, sticky drool, bright red or pale gums, vomiting, wobbliness, or unusual fatigue. If you see that, get them in the AC right away, give small sips of cool water, and call your vet if especially if headed up there so they can be prepared for your arrival.
On the flip side, don’t forget water toxicity. There is a such thing as too much of a good thing! Offer frequent small drinks instead of letting them drain the bowl. If a dog drinks an excessive amount, gulps super fast, especially after hard play or swimming, watch for lethargy, vomiting, stumbling, pale gums, or bloating.

Hey there Pawsability followers and amazing clients!!!!! 🐾
I have previously mentioned and it is clearly evident that I have been terrible at keeping up with the social media aspect. Typically that’s not too big of a deal, however, so much has changed and grown with this endeavor and it is time for a major update! I genuinely thank those who read all of this and continue to be so supportive!
🐶FIRST THINGS FIRST: I have been so blessed and am grateful for every client and follower who continue to spread the word about Pawsability Unlimited where I still am not having to advertise because your word of mouth keeps me connected to so many other great people wanting to go above and beyond for their dogs! Last month marked 5 years running and I am blown away by every experience and interaction!
BIG CHANGES: Many have already know and interacted with them but Pawsability Unlimited is no longer a solo act. I will be posting full bios on FB and my website soon but some quick shout outs to these amazing girls who are allowing me to keep this whole thing going…
🦮Kim has been a key player in my business here and there over the last several years helping me with board and trains and social outings with dogs in training. She, like myself, is a veterinary technician, with an amazing talent for dog behavior and training. While she does maintain her full time job at the shelter she continues to help me with care and occasional training of any dogs that come into boarding with us!
🐕‍🦺Jewel was an amazing addition over a year ago now as an apprentice trainer. She is a young go getter with an amazing natural talent for dog training! I love that she carried the same passion as well as authenticity as I do for dog training! After a full year under my wing learning behaviors, how to think outside the box with each dog she works with and understanding all the training theories, she is officially branching out on her own to allow more availability for private and group lessons with the same abundance of detailed knowledge and client communication as I have always provided!
🐩Kat was added to the team in January of this year. The coolest aspect is she is also my neighbor so this makes out for convenience on so many levels. She brings such positive energy to the table and has the biggest heart. She too aspires to be a trainer and is learning the ropes. This girl gives so much love, care and attention to all of the dogs here staying with us and has been a huge help with the multiple daily board and train session going while keeping all dogs happy and healthy on the daily!
🐕Last but not least, Mason, my son who has always been very helpful with this business from the start! As he continues to get older he has grown even more hands in with helping care for the dogs and is growing confidence to helping with client pick up and drop off as well! It has made my mama heart so happy watching him have pride in being able to help although he is the one and only employee who always seems to be the one bugging me about payday, lol 🤣
🦴 Other than the several new faces, business continues to run with the same high standard and quality of care for every client and dog that embarks on training with us! There have been some slight price increases, mostly for evals and private lessons with travel distance greater than 30min from us as well as transportation services. I will also be adjusting some other board and train options to give everyone a better idea for some custom fit options based on where your dog is at with training.
All of us here at Pawsability Unlimited extends a huge THANK YOU for everyone who not only trusts us to help them with their dog training goals but for you all seeking help and options for your dog to begin with!!!

Classes start on 4/1/25!! Classes will be every Wednesday at 6:30pm for 5 weeks. Super excited to start offering group classes again! This course is packed with way more info than you know what to do with! Hope you can joins us!!!!
Classes will be held at Cherry Park in Weatherford, TX. Discounted price of $250 if you signed up by 3/27/26, after that price jumps to $300. Limiting to 6 spots to ensure session are more intimate! 🐾

NEED ALL OPINIONS!!!
I am incredibly excited to give you all some major updates that have been in the works over quite some time now but, first, I have some updates that require some input from others…
I was recently asked about starting a veterans service dog program through a 501c program. In doing so I had evaluated and pulled an amazing dog, Sigg (formally knows and Tex), and have been putting in a lot of time money and effort towards his training to potentially reach the goal of being a service dog for a veteran in need. Unfortunately, only 4 week in the 501c just folded and discontinued all services leaving me with a heavily discounted but unpaid bill and a dog that no longer has a path.
So now what!? Well, we all know that even though I am not well off I certainly do not do what I do for the money. The question lies… do I try to adopt this already amazing dog out as is with his current basic obedience training to anyone willing or do I attempt to start my own 501c and carry on the original idea of raising money towards helping veterans obtain service dogs!? I am eager to get some insight from all of my amazing clients and followers!!!!! 🙏🙌🏻🥰

Only a 14 hour work day that included brining this handsome boy home at the end of my day, and who within 45 seconds of being put in his crate had to be removed so I could clean up on isle 3…. Seriously though, are you staying hydrated by absorbing water through your paw pads!?! 🫣💧👅🐾😂

I used to feel so judged bringing dogs in training into places like Lowe’s or Home Depot. While I feel strongly that many dogs are exposed to high-distraction environments before they’re ready and truly prepped, days like this are proof that with the right training it can go so smoothly! This is exactly why we do this work.

These dogs walked in with a few nerves—but also the confidence and skills to work through it—and absolutely crushed their heeling and down-stays. Watching that growth, focus, and teamwork in real-world settings is what great training is all about.
