24 years ago I wanted to learn how to trim my horses feet. I started to learn and it quickly evolved into much more then that. Shoeing became a passion and ultimately a career.
When starting my career as an equine veterinarian, it became obvious most lamenesses were localized to the foot. I could do something to help with that! My podiatry practice was born. For 13 years it’s been my primary area of focus and continues to be a passion.
Turns out shoeing horses can be hard on the body! That became obvious early and often. I learned preventative measures had to be taken if my career was going to be sustainable. I started to go to the chiropractor not only when I was broken but as routine preventative maintenance.
I realized chiropractics could help my patients as much as it was helping me; and who better to provide that care then me! I decided on the Parker University Animal Chiropractic Course and began my journey. It was hard. It was time consuming. To say it stressful would be an understatement. Most importantly, it was worth it! It has been one of THEE most rewarding things I have done in veterinary medicine in a long time!
I am proud to be able to say “ I PASSED!!!”
With that being said, I am now scheduling chiropractic appointments. They can be scheduled with your shoeing appointment or they can be scheduled as stand alone appointments.
I look forward to offering chiropractic care to my current and future patients!
