𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆: Showing in the Congress Open Versatility. I showed the Hunter Under Saddle and Ranch Riding sections with Kiwi. It was so fun to get to show in both disciplines and do the tack swaps in between!
𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗡𝗦𝗕𝗬𝗔: The programs and opportunities NSBYA presents to young riders!
𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿: I want to show my coming 4-year-old in the next year.
𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳: I like to sew.

The NSBA Youth of the Year Award and Susan Scott Memorial Scholarship applications are 𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡!

🏆 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝
Recognizing outstanding leadership, commitment to community service, and passion for the equestrian industry, this award is open to all NSBA youth members involved in a service project. Winners receive a $500 donation to a charity of their choice made in their name and the Susan Scott Memorial Scholarship.

Meet your 𝐍𝐒𝐁𝐘𝐀 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 – Lili Drinkall

𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲: Illinois
𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹: Milledgeville High School & Sauk Valley Community College
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲(𝘀) 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲: I have a broodmare named “Betty” and a three-year-old I am training named “Amelia.”
𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗧𝗼 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗜𝗻: My favorite class to show in is the Equitation.
𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄: My favorite show is the Harbor Classic in Ludington, Michigan.
𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆: My favorite memory or memories is when our barn family goes out to eat Mexican food after a long day of showing. There are so many fun memories attached to going out to eat together so it is always a highlight of going to horse shows.
𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗡𝗦𝗕𝗬𝗔: My favorite thing about NSBYA is how much we work on giving back to our community through service projects. It is such a rewarding feeling and, overall, a great experience and community to be part of.
𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿: One goal I have for this year is to finish breaking my three-year-old mare I have been working with, as well as show her more in the showmanship.
𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳: A fun fact about me is that I love to participate in the school musicals at my high school.

𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗧𝗼 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗜𝗻: Equitation or trail
𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆: Our barn had a scarecrow we took to shows and we hid it in people’s stalls and around the shows.
𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗡𝗦𝗕𝗬𝗔: The community–everyone comes together and are friends. It's a great chance to be social with kids from around the country.
𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿: My goal as president this year is to get more kids involved in NSBYA than just the board and make it a welcoming environment!
𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳: I can juggle!

NSBYA kicked off 2025 by at the Gold & Gulf Coast shows in Ocala Florida. NSBYA leaders & other youth members made more than 10 fleece blankets and donated them to a local Ocala women & children’s shelter.
