Meet Emma!
Emma recently attended a fun day on the town with one of our awesome volunteers and here is what she had to say:
"Emma is very sweet. She was nervous of the new places, but enjoyed seeing new people. She liked the adults and kids coming up to her for pets and attention.
She walked great on leash and would walk right next to you.
She also enjoyed her pup cup treat."

What a sweet girl she is. We are all hoping you find a hero to adopt you soon Emma!

UPDATE: The owner was found and is in route to the shelter. Thanks for everyone's help!

Do you know this dog? This poor baby was hit by a car and has a broken pelvis. We would like to find the owner asap as this is a severe injury and although we are doing everything we can, the prognosis is not good. If this is your animal please call the shelter at 817-598-4111 immediately!

PUPDATE: Does anyone remember the seizure of 57 dogs that came in from one location back in August? They were thin, dirty and scared. Well, we just received this pupdate on Oscar (now known as Kevin) and it is amazing! I wish I could post the video we received as it shows just how far he has come. He now knows sit, down, up and how to gently take treats. It's amazing! Here is what his pup parents have to say:
"Just giving an update. We adopted Oscar 10/9. Apparently he was a rescue from 50 plus pups in 12 kennels 😭. Well here is the update on KEVIN. he has come a long way. I see so much of what an awesome sidekick he’s going to be. He is just over here living his best life. He has this mama shepherd learning him the ropes around here."

Thank you for adopting Kevin and giving him such a wonderful life!

At WPCAS, every kennel, every bed, and every corner is filled with amazing animals who are ready to love and be loved. But here's the reality: with so many in our care, we’re at a breaking point.
