No puppies available currently, but we do have a special one up for rehoming…Female Pearl Cockatiel, just over a year old. She is the SWEETEST bird ever. She loves riding on shoulders and being where people are all the time. She also loves head and cheek scratches. She loves sharing snacks with her human friends. She was hand fed and hand raised by her breeder. The breeder performed a dna test to determine she is female, though I’ve questioned it several times as she’s much more vocal than a typical female cockatiel. She was a Christmas gift last year, but life changes have caused us to make the difficult decision to rehome her to a family with more time for her. A few things to know before inquiring: 1. She is LOUD! She’s content if she’s nearby you, but if she’s in a room alone for too long of a time, she will call for someone to come to her. Lookup cockatiel calls on YouTube for a sample of what to expect. 2. She’s messy! Between seed hulls, food pellet crumbs, and tiny splats of bird poops, the area around the cage is especially messy, though it can be vacuumed up quickly and easily. She also poops on your shoulder or wherever else she may be…she doesn’t discriminate; she just poops. We just keep baby wipes handy for quick cleanups. 3. Birds have very sensitive respiratory systems. Excessive candle/incense burning doesn’t go well with having a pet bird. Nor does cooking with Teflon type nonstick pots/pans. Overheating of these types of pans can cause extreme illness and even death. We tragically lost a pet cockatiel years ago due to his death from being in a nearby room when something was burned in a Teflon skillet. I’d recommend making sure your cookware is safe for birds before bringing a pet bird into your home! 4. Would be best suited for her own safety in a home without indoor cats or rambunctious indoor dogs. If you can get past those four obstacles, and you’re still interested, please text or call me. She comes with her large cage, travel cage, food, and miscellaneous supplies. There is a rehoming fee.
