How many of you choose a tripping collar over a martingale style pulling collar or a standard 3-piece breast dollar?
And why?

Here’s the right way a tripping collar should fit:
-It should fit low and loose, so that when your horse has to pull, the collar is down across the widest, part of his chest.
-It should fit loose, so that his shoulder movement is not hindered.
-The wither strap is to keep the collar from dropping TOO low.
-A person can utilize the center bottom d-ring to secure the collar to the cinch d, to prevent the collar from riding up and choking out the horse.
-Your tugs should attach to your CINCH buckle AND your saddle rigging D.
-A tripping collar is NOT attached to the high, in-skirt d’s, close to the swells. Those d’s are for a regular breast collar.

Comment if you use a tripping collar, and why you choose one vs other styles.
So far, out of every cowboy I’ve asked, Kelly Brock Pickens is the only one was able to give me a solid explanation. Most just say, “I dunno, I just like ‘em better. They look cool.”
