This is Debbie talkin. I started the first fire in our stove a few minutes ago. Winter will be wonderful. We have plenty of firewood in our shed. I feel so blessed.

Hello everybody, this is Debbie talkin, I thought I would share a recipe that makes the holidays a little easier for the cooks in the house.
Freezer biscuits
8 cups AP flour
5 tablespoon baking powder
4 teaspoons salt
1 1/3 cup lard or crisco
About 1 quart or more buttermilk or clabber
Mix the flour, baking powder and salt well. Add the lard and break into small pieces. Add the buttermilk and gently mix with a fork. Add more if needed. Flour your counter top and pour out your dough.push dough into a flat square shape. Flatten to about 3/4 inch tall. Fold in thirds. Do this 3 times. Now cut out biscuits. Place on a parchment lined sheet pan. Put the pan in freezer over night. Now place the frozen biscuits in plastic bags till you are ready to eat some. When getting ready to enjoy your biscuits, place them on a prepared sheet. Let the biscuits thaw on the counter for about 30 minutes. Pop in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes or a little longer.
I hope this helps you all. It makes about 35 biscuits per batch.

Hey Neighbors , as I take a brief break from canning green beans, I reflect on this year's remarkable garden, which Mr. Larry particularly enjoyed. We're still actively harvesting and preserving. Furthermore, we've repurposed last year's deer meat into snack sticks for my outdoor enthusiast when he hunts to refill our freezer. This year's abundance and beauty are evident, with four new calves, one heifer, and three bulls. Ready to settle into winter with a full belly and thankful heart!

Hello everybody... this is Debbie talkin.. 2 racks of ribs will be going on the smoker today. Can't wait till they are ready to eat at 6pm. It's rubbed in spicy mustard. Then covered with a dry rub of dark brown sugar with a maple bourbon spice. It will be so so good with the mesquite wood smoke.

Hey Neighbors!!So to Fayetteville we were trying to go. Everyone's fed, house is almost manageable' garden watered, and Larry's garage we saw bottom. They new baby quail are done hatching dogs pinned up. Mom and dad wanting to no what's taking us so long and this!!! This is what we get. One more critter wanting it's attention or to just go with us!! Lol got to love farm life!

Hello everybody... This is Debbie talkin... This is one of my last 2 roasters cookers of tomatoes. Tomatoes sauce will be able to be used to make a lot of food around here. I will soon be getting my sweet potatoes ready for winter. Finishing out the garden is as good as planting the garden. Eat well my friends

This is the first batch of apples that the squirrels haven't eaten before we could get to them. The first 2 roasters will be apple sauce and the last ones will be apple butter.

Hey Neighbors! I hope your weekend was as good as mine!! Busy busy! ( keeps me out of trouble) Our garden is booming, Friends are visiting, and fall is starting to peek around the corner. All the visiting left me with canning into the early morning but it was worth it !
