Meet Sienna! This sweet gal was super happy on her first day out in the yards, even in the rain! Sienna came to us as a stray so we don't know too much about her; however, she is a female, who we believe is under 2 years old. She is a compact bully type with that classic bully smile we love to see! Sienna is very friendly fence to fence with our friends Chopper and Roscoe but as noted above she just started to get out of her kennel and hasn't made any playmates yet. That didn't slow down her play with staff! She loves toys but was happy to abandon them in favor of pets and rubs. Meet the sweets pups! These kids are bully-type dogs who are 8 weeks old and finally ready for their fur-ever homes. Brownie, their mom, did such a good job raising her puppies so they are all sweet, spunky and playful! their names and sexes are attached to their photos. Meet Brownie! Now that her pups are old enough to be adopted, she is finally looking for that special place of her own to call home. She is an adult female bully type dog and she is just the sweetest! Because she was being the best mom and taking care of her puppies this whole time, we did not have the chance to introduce her to a doggy friend but she did have a friend in the place she came from so we believe she is good with other dogs. We have not tested her for cats yet but when we get the chance to, we will update her post with the results. And finally, the post you have all been waiting for.....The final 5 puppies in our Puppypalooza event! All 5 are males, approximately 10 weeks of age. We have Batman, Robin, Superman, Flash, and Green Arrow. These puppies are *NOT FIRST TIME DOG OWNER ELIGIBLE* and we will be screening adopters in order to set them and their new families up for success. All 5 will need homes who are savvy to the ways of working breeds. These active and energetic puppies are looking for their furever homes.

🐶🐶🐶🐶Let's get ready for a PUPPYPALOOZA!!!🐶🐶🐶🐶

On Tuesday, January 21st, we will have a Puppypalooza where 22 puppies (Yes, you read that right, twenty-two!!!) will be available for adoption! We have both males and females, bully type, shepherd type and malinois type pups all ranging in age from 8 weeks old to 10 weeks old. Not all of them are currently available for viewing as they are still completing their puppy quarantines but we suspect they will pass with flying colors. Names and genders are attached to the pictures on this post, not all puppies are photographed.

Our Puppypalooza will come with half off their adoption fee (The full spay / neuter deposit will still be required and you will be required to get them spayed / neutered). The last day of Puppypalooza is the 25th. Please see this page of our website for adoption fees and requirements:

Echo, the last of the raptor litter, is still available for adoption! He is about 3 1/2 to 4-ish months old now and is patiently waiting for his very own fur-ever home. He has been introduced to a few other dogs here as well as our shelter cat and he has done quite well with them. He is on the calmer side for a puppy his age but he could still do with some more lessons on manners as he likes to jump to be as close as he can to you. If there are loud noises or strangers, he can act a little timid but once he gets to know you he melts in your arms. Zeus has been adopted!! 😀🎉 Since the last video, not many of our residences have been adopted but strays are still being brought to the shelter. All these guys and gals are great dogs seeking a family to call their own so please consider adding one or two of these fur-babies to your home. We also have lots of cats available for adoption as well. During this morning's cleaning, one of the kittens noticed how short handed we were and decided to assist us! So cute, we couldn't resist but video record it. This adorable kitten is one of our two grey kittens that are available for adoption. We're not sure if this is Yin or Yang but they both love playing with the broom. Both Yin and Yang are girls who are 8 weeks old. We do have plenty of other adorable fuzzy companions available for adoption here at the shelter so if you are interested, please either stop on by the Trinity County Animal Shelter located at 563 Mountain View St. in Weaverville, CA or give us a call at 530.623.1370 If you would like more information or would like to inquire about adopting, please call. We are full....again 😫 20 dogs in 17 kennels. And a puppy (not pictured) living in our tub room. I got tired of tired of saying 'available for adoption'. Every single dog in this video except the shepherds in quarantine (you can see the female and the male is outside having dinner) is available for adoption. Please share, you never know who on your friends list might catch a glimpse of the furry love of their life in our video.

One of our employees brought her family down to the shelter to see the dogs and we thought we'd share some moments with you they spent with Delilah. Delilah has been at the shelter since January and is our longest resident. We really would love for her to get her forever home. Especially since her best pal Eddie recently got his. She is a very sweet dog who loves kids and would make a great addition to any family with kids little or big. She is a spayed shepherd mix about 4 years old. She does not do well with female dogs, cats and small dogs. If you would like more information about Delilah please either come to meet her at the Trinity Animal Shelter at 563 Mt.
