Dear Appalachian family, first we would like to say thank you for all the support, donations and kindness in this catastrophic event. Our Appalachian Family is all safe, some have lost, cars, homes, family and even everything. But even during these difficult times, we have rallied together to provide the best care for our clients and their fur babies.
****We have decided we will be open Monday - Friday 8 to 5*****
And will do our very best to take care of everyone’s needs. However we are running off of a generator, with limited power and water. We will not be doing any small animal surgery until we are back up and running. We are working with our other partners to get small and large animal vaccines. Please understand that if you have an appointment and are getting reminders that is through a 3rd party we are not reminding you of your appointment and that it may or may not be canceled for what we are able to provide in our clinic at this time. We are getting large amounts of donations this weekend and will be available to our community as needed!

Our Story

We are excited to offer care for not only for cats and dogs but also horses, goats and farm animals (including cows and pigs)! At Appalachian Animal Hospital, we are dedicated to providing the best care possible for your entire animal family. When you visit our newly constructed clinic in Weaverville, it feels like visiting friends. We strive to make your pets feel comfortable and safe while receiving complete and compassionate care. Stop in for a healthy treat for your pet and get a tour of the place – we always have time to stop and make new friends and catch up with our old ones. With many years of combined experience, our veterinarians are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for your pets in our hospital. You may have heard of us before – we have been in the area for well over 30 years taking care of animals in the comfort of their own homes. In February of 2017 we opened the doors to our custom-built animal hospital, where we also offer boarding, daycare and haul-in services for horses and other farm animals. From sick or injured animals to those needing routine dental care or surgeries, we are here to provide for all of your pets’ healthcare needs. For our equine and farm animal clients, we have 3 mobile units on the road providing the same excellent quality care your horses have enjoyed for years. We also care for small ruminants, camelids, and cattle on your farm or at the office (if they can fit through the door!).

Feel free to send us a message here on FaceBook, email us or call the office during business hours. We hope to be able to help and take care of your loved animal companions!
