Safe to say the chitting went well this year! Things I did differently:
🥔 chitted in our barn with not much light
🥔 I simply dumped them out of the bags onto my garden bench to sit
🥔 bought from TSC not a specialty company online
🥔planting a month later than usual

DON'T remove the snow from your hives
DON'T peek in the tops
If you do not have top entrances, DON'T remove the snow or dead bees from their entrance
DO make sure your mouse guards are still on. Skunks like to pull these off to eat dead bees
DO make some fondant that might benefit them when their honey is low in February and March
DO blow into the entrance and listen for buzzing 🐝
