Tomorrow is the opening day of rifle season in WV and we can’t wait to see what comes in. Remember to leave plenty of hide if you want a good mount! Cut up the BACK OF THE LEGS, following the brown/white line of hair behind the armpit. NOT up the inside of the legs and across the armpit and chest.

I finished this huge Webster County WV buck taken by James Greene in 2020. it scored 188 1/8 before deductions. Its custom base complete with handmade rocks and deer tracks in the mud.

I finished this one and I thought it turned out pretty good. This buck had the tine from another buck sticking in its face. The customer wanted the tine put back in place when I mounted it. I added some blood and bruised skin. He was more than pleased with the end result.

Do not use discount taxidermy you get what you pay for.....A guy used a local "taxidermist" because his price was cheaper. When he got his deer back he sent me these pictures asking if I could fix it. Just because someone says they are a taxidermist doesn't mean they are. I am going to remount his deer.

If anyone within a reasonable distance of my shop gets a buck next week with a big neck that they are not mounting give me a call or message me. I need some capes for shoulder mounts and a couple for 1/2 mounts with the front legs on. I will tell you how to skin them. The neck needs to measure at least 19 to 20 inches around the smallest part.
