Please take a moment to wish our dear friend Wilson well when you’re at the stable this week. Wilson is moving on to a much deserved retirement home where we are certain he will be well loved in a single family home in a slower pace environment. He will happily accept any hugs or carrots you would like to offer this week. We will miss your sweet, goofy self terribly Big Wil and wish you all the best always!!

Dear HCS Stables Volunteers,
Happy New Year! With the new year, brings new information to share from the stable. Our volunteer coordinator has retired so please bear with us as we navigate ensuring there is no break in services for our wonderful riders. Kathy posted a schedule in Wranglr for the next couple of months, but please check your schedule and ensure you are down to volunteer where you would like to be. If changes need to be made, please feel free to adjust yourself and/or reach out to the barn via phone (585-872-2540), email ([email protected]) or a text to instructor. We are looking forward to seeing our barn full again starting next week and hope you have all gotten a chance to rest over the holidays! Reminder, we do cancel lessons if arena temps are under 20 degrees, so if the weather is looking questionable, reach out if needed to check.

❄️☃️ Winter Reminder ☃️❄️
Most lessons resume next week on Monday, January 13th. Some Friday afternoon and Saturday classes will be held this coming weekend, check with your instructor if you have any questions.
Please remember to dress for the weather. If indoor arena temps are below 20 degrees, lessons will be canceled and you will be notified.
Coat, Gloves, Hats & Boots are needed this time of year as the arena is not heated.
Viewing room is heated if you need to warm up!

Trigger would like to share that walking is a great way to keep warm on these winter days! If you have a fitness goal for the New Year and are looking for a way to get more steps in your day, while helping wonderful people at the same time, come volunteer during our equine assisted riding lessons!

🐎❤️ A giving option: Our Chamber member Heritage Christian Stables uses monetary donations to build their rider-scholarship fund and care for the horses. The Stables offers riding and equine assisted therapeutic services for all ages and abilities. In addition to monetary donations, the Stables can make use of horse and farm care items.
