>^.^< The Kitten Story =^.^=
It all started when I lived in a neighborhood overrun with stray cats. They liked me because I feed them, they liked me so much they have their babies in my attic or garage. So I'd take them in and try to find new homes for the kittens as well as the mothers. I started selling on Etsy to create revenue to continue rescuing and re-homing these homeless animals. The re

scue and fostering of cats and kittens fill my heart with love and determination to do the best I can for them.
2012 RECAP: Homes for over 30 kittens and six mothers spayed.
2013 RECAP: 43 kittens and 5 mothers rescued. 24 kittens adopted (5 kittens too young to adopt still).
2014 RECAP: Only found 6 new kittens this year and found homes for 10. The focus this year is to get as many of the stray cats fixed, and I think we got all of the ones that we feed, 6 females and 12 males. Without any new kittens I missed the pitter patter of little paws, so now I am also a foster mother of five for a great local organization called Second Chance Pets, they can not go to their new homes until their health checks out, they are old enough or weigh enough to be fixed and are micro-chipped.
2015 RECAP: Well, I've had sixteen foster kittens this year, 10 of them have found their fur-ever homes and I now have six still waiting. I take them to adoption day every Saturday at the Petco on Bay Area @ Space Center so stop by and visit when you are in the neighborhood. I have been blessed with customers whose purchases help to fund my animal rescues and fosters. Please have a big heart and buy from me for them.
2016 RECAP: This year I started with 6 foster kittens and Buddy, a cat I had been taking care of. I was able to foster 7 new foster babies and had 8 fosters adopted and Buddy making 9 by the end of the year. I also bottle fed 8 kittens, 6 that went to their own foster homes when they were eating on their own and two I got to foster. So I'm starting with my own two cats Gatsby and Annie and my fosters Cowboy, Possum, Mao and Red Fred. Sadly, four is the limit set by the Rescue group I am a part of. I'm hoping Cowboy and Possum will finally get their fur-ever home this year, Mao gets over his feral stage and Red Fred, I'm sure I won't have very long he's just too darn cute and I know he'll be adopted as soon as he's old enough. I take two of them to adoption day every Saturday at the Petco on Bay Area @ Space Center in Houston TX. so stop by and visit when you are in the neighborhood. Thanks to my customer's having been very generous with their purchases, allowed me to continue fostering and caring for the cats and kittens. So I ask, please consider purchasing from my shop so I/we may continue helping as many of these, Gods creatures as possible.
2016 RECAP: This year I started with 6 foster kittens and Buddy, a cat I have been taking care of. I also bottle-fed 8 kittens, 6 that went to their own foster homes when they were eating on their own and two I got to foster.
2017 RECAP: I started this year with six cats/kittens 2 of them belong to me and 4 are foster babies. I also have had 12 new cats/kittens fosters, 10 adoptions and one sadly passed away. Personally, it's been a tough year, especially with Hurricane Harvey and a few health issues, but I have a good feeling for 2018, So if you have room in your home and heart, please adopt a homeless animal from a shelter or rescue group.
01/01/2018 UPDATE: I still have my own two cats Gatsby and Annie and my current fosters are Possum, Mao and Mr. Nosey, Mama-Mia and Persia. Possum has been in the rescue program since 2015, Mao is still a big scarred cat, Mr. Nosey like his mom, Mama-Mia are full of love and want only to be near you and petted. Persia is my newbie, but I'm sure I won't have her for too long. She is a beautiful Snow-shoe kitten who purrs as soon as she is picked up. So let's make this a great year for these and my future cat and kitten fosters.
01/01/2019 UPDATE: The 2018 final count, I fostered 24 cats and kittens this year, 4 kittens passed away due to a URI all in the same week, it was a very sad time for me. Which left me with 20, four of which were carried over from 2018 and Mao who is STILL too scared of everything to show on adoption day. So I start 2019 with four fosters Yen a beautiful calico cat, her son Chan a very soft solid black kitten, scaredy-cat Mao and Rudolph a feisty little tabby I got when he was only 5 days old. Of course, I still have my two cat's Gatsby and Annie (seven if you are counting). I will remember 2018 as the year with the most Vet visits and teeth extracted. Three of the cat's needed dental work one of which was Gatsby and his bills so far are over $1000.00 and it's still ongoing. So with that said, let's make this year the year I remember as the most income to help support my hobby of "collecting" cats ;-)
2020 RECAP 2019: During 2019 I fostered 11 cats and kittens and two puppies, 8 of my fosters got their fur-ever homes and the puppies went back to the Dog World side of Second Chance Pets where they were adopted together! The mother cat of three of my kittens was TNR'ed and one of my fosters escaped and hasn't returned. So for 2020 I still have my two cats and Mao, who I think will never get friendly enough to adopt, so I should start to count him as one of mine. I have Snuffy, Heartman, Clapton, Santana, and Bonnie, who are still my fosters and a stray I've been feeding and trying to catch to be fixed, I've been calling Tom-Tom.
2021 RECAP of 2020: With COVID-19 showing and adopting cats/kittens were impacted, but it didn't slow down fostering. I started 2020 with my two cats, Annie and Gatsby, 3 older fosters Moa, Snuffy and Heartman, and three kittens Bonnie, Clapton and Santana. It wasn't long before Bonnie and Clapton got their furever home together in January and Santana in March. I had a total of 14 fosters three of which belonged to a local shelter that needed a bottle feeder, sadly one passed away while the vet was trying to figure out what was wrong with him and the shelter adopted the other two the day after I returned them. Four of my fosters were re-homed to two new foster home's who wanted kittens, those four have all been adopted. Even with COVID my foster/adoption numbers were average with previous years. The one I will remember the most will be Mr. Poo one of the shelter babies, may he rest in peace.
2022 RECAP of 2021: I have had some health issues including having the COVID virus in September of 2021. My health issues interfere with my ability to drive and on occasion even walk. There is no cure for these health issues and I felt I could no longer foster for the rescue group that I have been a part of and care for the animals in a way that fostering requires. I have stepped down as a volunteer for the rescue group. I still have four cats that belong to the rescue group, and I will continue to care for them until they find their furever homes. The four I have all have each have some type of an issue that makes them difficult to adopt, I will continue to do my best to market these four with the rescue group's efforts. I do however still take on a single-bottle baby from the local shelter. I believe working with the shelter is something I will be able to handle since there are no demands on dates and times. Now for the recap, not a big year for adoptions as far as my fosters go. I only had four kittens/cats adopted this year and two were rehomed to a different foster. I was able to care for three bottle babies from the shelter, sadly one did pass away. The other two have been returned to the shelter where they immediately were adopted. Of course, I still have my two cats, Moa, Flower, Dragonfly, and Saint Patrick. Thank you for checking MEOWT.
