About ten years ago, Michael Ken bought a German Shepherd from me. Michael, who is both a professional singer and blind, would bring this dog everywhere, even to all his performances. Regrettably, about three months ago, Zoie, his beloved companion, was diagnosed with cancer and passed away last Friday. In honor of Zoie, Michael composed this touching song.

Our Story

My wife and I started Carolina German Shepherds simply because of our love for dogs. This has been my life long dream and I am very excited to see this become a reality. After graduating and receiving my Bachelor Degree in 2003, I joined the New York City Police Department (NYPD). I enrolled in a formal dog training school shortly after becoming a Police Officer. I successfully completed the course graduating top of my class and received my Master Dog Trainer and Canine Behaviorist certification. I am a graduate and member of the prestigious Anthony Jerone’s School of Dog Training Career Inc. I studied and trained directly under one of the most recognized dog trainer in New York, Anthony Jerone. He is a former Vietnam K-9 Corp Specialist and was awarded the Bronze Star by the President. He implemented and developed NYPD (New York City Police Department) first NYC Transit K9 Corp. He has been cited numerous times for his excellent public work and service.

The combination of being a reputable breeder, a certified Master Dog Trainer, along with his years of law enforcement experience sets Jay apart from the rest. He only uses practical and the most effective techniques in dog training. This is why he is being referred to as “Charlotte K9 Whispherer.”
